- Google is refreshing its wallpapers and styling apps for Android 16 Qpr1 that has new features like magic image and theme support.
- With QPR1 Beta 2, the company has begun grouping together with a new banner from the Wallpaper Studio to create its wallpaper creation and editing tools.
- It replaces the previous “recommended photos” view.
When you are interested in customizing the shape of your pixel phone, Google’s own wallpaper and styling app is not much better. It has already offered a ton of control over both your lock screen and home screen, and thanks to some smart UI updates in QPR1 Beta 1, it’s just getting better. This week, with the release of QPR1 Beta 2, we are digging in search of everything newly developed by Google, and identified some other reforms that target wallpapers and styles.
In Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2, when you go to select wallpapers in the Wallpaper and Style app (or easily access through system settings) you will find a new wallpaper studio section above.
Now we must be clear that in practice we are not seeing anything new here. The tools of the creation and editing of the wallpaper found with this release are all that we were already aware of, but now it is now being groups together in this easy fashion. It not only offers a stop shop to produce emoji wallpapers, but also benefits from Google’s powerful effects and AI tools. These include the options such as the cinema wallpapers to create a pelvis -3D effect or tap the AI wallpaper tools in Google’s production strength.
The best situation here is the feature of the magical portrait that we only know with the QPR1 beta 1, which allows you to implement the effects of dynamic weather beyond the offering of some smart framing methods, allow your phone’s wallpaper to help you reflect the world around you. Although we would definitely like to see the wallpaper and styling selection of more functionality along with this line, the introduction of a little UI cleaning and this appropriate wallpaper studio branding is also fine.
Keep checking with the Android Authority for coverage of Google and Google -filled changes in QPR1 Beta 2. We have already seen things like the Reconstruction and Clever Volume Control of the Status Bar, and you are better assured that the list will only increase.
