Zoom Communications extended its phone service in India to four more constituencies in India on Wednesday. With this extension, Zoomphone is now available in Mumbai, Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Telecom circles. It was first available in two circles. In particular, this service has been licensed by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT). Separately, the company also launched its contact centers in the country. Both services aim for businesses, the latter is an Omni channel solution that combines the engagement of customers and employees.

Zoom announces enterprise -based solutions in India

In a press release, Zoom made two new India -based announcements. Zoomphone, Legacy Phone Branch Exchange (PBC) System, is now available in four more constituencies. The service was first prepared in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu Telecom circles in October 2024.

Now, it is being extended to Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Karnataka (Bangalore), and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (Hyderabad) constituencies. The Delhi NCR Telecom Circle includes the main area of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida and Grogram.

Zoomphone Zoom supports these bounds and outbound calling service through a public switchable telephone network (PSTN) for businesses with zoom zoom work.

Service can be connected to the Zoom Contact Center to offer additional features to businesses such as call transfer, call forwarding, and call recording. The company says the zoom phone service can also be used to connect areas where it is not available. This can be done through the company’s self -service portal, which offers local phone numbers based on specific telecom circles where the service is available.

Coming to the Zoom Contact Center, it is a service solution (CCAA) as a contact center that supports numerous channels that include sound, video, virtual agents, social media, emails, and messaging apps. It offers to bring your own career capabilities that allow businesses to maintain its existing PSTN service provider and root sound traffic through the zoom contact center cloud.
