    • In the next Android 16 QPR1 update, Google is clearing the Android “Sound and Vibration” settings page.
    • Instead of a long list, new layout groups set the settings in a separate category such as “sound patterns” and “audio”.
    • Volume slider also gets a modern design, while other options are transferred to feel less disorder.

After more than 16 years of development, Android is full of OS properties. If they were not organized, it would be wrong to navigate them. For a long time, the page of Android’s sound settings felt the same, but eventually Google is clearing it in the next quarter of Android 16.

After installing Android 16 Qpr1 Beta 2 on our Pixel device, we saw that Settings> sound and vibration The menu has received a great cleaning. Instead of presenting each sequence on the same vertical list, the latest Android 16 Qpr1 beta separates them by category. For example, the “phone ringtone,” “default notification sound,” and “default alarm sound” options have now been group under a new “sound pattern” section. Meanwhile, “local audio” and “media” items are under a new “audio” section. The five volume sliders are in the upper part of the page, but they have been updated with the design of the more modern content shown in the volume panel. In addition, the “audio will play” entry is no longer weird between the media and the call volume sliders, but it has been moved up to the top.

Android 16 vs Android 16 Qpr1 Beta 2 is showing a sound and vibration settings page, a gallery, here.

And if this is not enough to show the difference, here is a list that shows that this page to Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2 Before and after the update of how disagreement was:

I was happy to see that Android 16 QPR1 finally began to clear Android’s sound settings. This is the thing I complained about in 2023, as I saw that the Google Sound and Vibration Page is unanimous, reorganizing many other pages in the app. Content 3 expression re -design, which puts menu items in separate cards, makes a long journey to feel the Settings app less clutter. However, the sound and vibration page had previously offended all its powers on a long, vertical list. Although the new page still contains many settings under the “Systems and Vibration” section below, it is better than ever.
