Redmi Watch’s move is Xiaomi’s latest smart watch. It is the cheapest model in the company’s lineup in markets like India, including the Redmi Watch 5 Active and the Redmi Watch 5 Light, which is the most expensive.
The Redmi Watch move makes some big claims despite the incredibly low -cost tags of INR 1,999 (~ 23). Xiaomi claims that this model offers the best heart rate monitoring accuracy, excellent step counter accuracy, excellent display, and excellent battery life in the class.
We will reach them, but let’s start with the design first. As every smart watch Xiaomi makes these days, the Redmi Watch Move design is much more affected by the Apple Watch. Glasses rotate, display corners, clock body edges, and even strap shapes are everything close to Apple’s designs.
As a result, there is always the same strange conversation that you are asking which Apple Watch model you are wearing, after which it is a shameful admission that it is not a Watch Watch, but a mere excuse that costs twenty times. I am sure that for some people it can be a supporter instead of one. However, as long as there are luxury watches, there are imitation luxury watches. But if this is not your jam, you may be disappointed.
There are colored resemblance with straps, and you can choose from one of the four different colors options. The strap has an Apple Watch Sport band styling design, but with a buckle instead of rubbing. They also have a very simple release method that requires pressing the buttons, and easily separated from the strap.
As a budget device, the Redmi Watch Move Body is completely out of plastic. You still get the IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
A new addition to the Redmi Watch design is the rotating crown, which, of course, can be suppressed as a button. I did not find the rotating feature especially useful because the dial is harder and difficult to move. It also scrolls only through screen contents, which you can do very easily using a touch screen.
Rising towards the display, the Redmi Watch move has a 1.85 -inch AMOLED display with 390 x 450 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The display is excellent with bright, dynamic colors and excellent viewing angles. High resolution text and watch faces look extremely smooth and the brightness is enough. This display has a large number of 3 mm of bells all around, but most clock faces help hide it well.
Unfortunately, the display has a problem, and it lacks the shine automatically. The panel may be bright enough, but you have to adjust the brightness manually. You can meet with medium sparkle that still looks out and does not blind you at night but it is far from the ideal.
The display always supports the format, which is easy. The clock also responds well to the wrist turn to check time. However, on our unit, the display sometimes goes on, even if the wrist was not rotated and I often find myself roaming with a completely bright panel. This is probably a caliber problem with the Excelrometer and can be set up with a software update.
The clock has a built -in speaker and microphone. The speaker of information and calls comes out quite loud and can even tickle you with his recovery.
Hypers software is good enough on the Redmi Watch move. The UI is well laid on the watch and is easy to use. The same can be said about the MI fitness app for Android and iOS, although there is still anger to create and log in to an account.
The app offers a ton of watch face to your watch. Xumi claims that there are more than 200. There are a lot of good people and you should at least find something you like. Some clock faces also come with their AOD mode, though mostly use only defaults.
The Redmi Watch move is very fast in downloading and enabling a new watch face from the app, in which the whole process is often under two seconds. However, the clock can only store the faces of only two additional watches that are already installed, and you cannot remove the four of them. This causes all 200+ watches to face, as you have to immediately finish you have prepared to make a place for the next one.

One of the faces of the pre-installed four is AI-Infiltration, which is part of a limited AI functionality on this watch. You can speak immediately and the watch will produce an image of your use. This process is slightly slow and you can’t just turn through them because it will produce only one icon at a time and if you want more options, you have to repeat the gesture.
Nevertheless, I was enjoying making some pictures until I hit the range of 30 -free trials, after which the clock wanted to prepare me more pictures and asked to get a monthly subscription. It is not even a Xiaomi subscription, but also for some company called the AI zone that performs the image generation.
The same company also handles the second AI feature, which is AI Q&A. This is a limited version of the AI Chatboat that works like Siri because you can only ask a question at a time. This is also not great because I asked him in a particular city for time and he told me that it could not be, which is really helpful in coming from the clock.
The Redmi Watch move is not Alexa, such as Zumi’s more expensive watches. If this is something you use a lot of yourself, it will not be a watch for you.
Then there are all fitness features. The Redmi Watch move monitors heart rate along with blood oxygen sensors. Using both data, it can track other things, such as your stress, jaurinable and sleep. Xiaomi claims that heart rate monitoring is 97 % accurate, which is the highest in its class. There is no easy way to confirm that I will take the word Xumi for it, besides leaving myself into an ECG machine.
Finally, you get an abundance of your usual activities that can be detected, with the auto detection for six, 140+, which includes outdoor running, walking, outdoor cycling, running, elliptical, and jump ropes. Only one thing is missing from this list, swimming, which the clock will not track for some reason.
The Redmi Watch move does not have a built -in GPS so it relies on your phone to provide location information. This means that you have to keep your phone on your phone to use location tracking features.
Xiaomi claims a 14 -day battery life. About a week after use, I still had about 54 54 % of the battery, so I would say that this claim seems to be true. The charger is just a thin USB cable that is magnetically connected to the back of the clock.
All things were considered, I think the Redmi Watch move is terrific to the price. Inr 1,999 is very short for features and functionality on the offer here. I was affected by display, software, battery life, and fitness tracking features. It lacks some things like GPS and Alexa that offer more expensive models of Xumi, and is very derived to take this design seriously. But if you can see these things in the past, this is an extraordinary price.
