Sometimes my nephew wants to watch a video of the Monster Truck on YouTube, so I will drag a video and hand over my iPhone. But if I take off his eyes for a moment, he finds a way to shoot the video on my camera or respond to Spam email in the mail.

When Apple was released iOS 18 In September, Tech Dev introduced a feature to lock some apps on your iPhone. That way you can keep children and others away from your apps. You can also hide some apps in their own hidden folder so that others do not be tempted to open them and attack their privacy. So now I can hand over my nephew to my iPhone and don’t worry that he can enter something in which he should not enter.

This is how to lock and hide your own iPhone apps for an extra security layer. You can also check all features iOS 18.5 You were brought to your iPhone.

How to lock your iPhone apps

    1. Long press an app.
    2. Tap Facial ID is required.
    3. Tap Facial ID is required Once again

Locking iPhone apps can help prevent your kids from buying random games or apps.

    Apple/CNE

Now whenever you try to access this app, it will need your face identification or pass code to open it. You can’t lock every app on your iPhone. Some apps, such as a camera, find me and the settings cannot be locked. But you can lock most apps, such as App Store, Messages and third party apps.

How to hide your iPhone apps

Hiding apps on their iPhone also lock them. It follows the same process as the apps are locked. Keep in mind that this option is not available for all apps. In my experience with iOS 18, you can only hide third party apps, such as Instagram and Twitter.

This is how you can hide these apps on your iPhone.

    1. Long press an app.
    2. Tap Facial ID is required.
    3. Tap Hide and need to identify the face.

Then your iPhone will ask for your face identification or pass code, then ask if you are sure you want to hide the app. A new menu will appear on your phone stating that hiding the app will eliminate its icon and name from your home screen and keep it in the hidden folder in your app library. The menu will also say that you will not receive any information from the app.

The hidden folder shows apps in it, whether you hide nine apps or no apps.

    Apple/CNE

Tap Hide the app At the bottom of the menu, and your iPhone will hide the app. To see your hidden apps, so that you are in your app library, swipe. Scroll under the page where you will see the folder labeled Invisible With a symbol that looks like a line -like eye. Tap this folder and enter your face identification or pass code. Then the folder will display your hidden apps.

How to remove the lock and remove

If you would like to blow or remove a lock from an app, press long, tap on the app The face ID is not required And enter your face identification or pass code. Your locking apps will now be unlock, and your hidden apps will be removed from the hidden folder.

Not hurting apps automatically does not put them on their home screen. To add an app to your home screen, go to your app library, press long on the app and tap Add to the Home screen. For more information about iOS 18, here are all new features included iOS 18.5 And iOS 18.4. You can also check our iOS 18 The sheets of cheating.
