- Google’s new Pixel VIPs Vegette launched with the release of Android 16.
- However, some pixel owners have reported that the widget is missing.
- Contacts app require update before the widget is available.
We know for a while that Google Pixel is working on VIPS Vegetable. This widget is one of the many features included in the June Pixel drop, which was released yesterday. Although the update is over, the Pixel VIPS Vegetable cannot be seen anywhere for some pixel owners.
As a refresher, Pixel VIPS Widget is a touch app feature that allows you to put a 4 × 1 widget on your home screen. You can insert your eight contacts in this widget to stay connected with the most important people in your life. What makes this feature special is that it works for the central reservoir of different information about these people, which include birthday reminders, local weather, time information, and even if the details of their location are settled. VIPS can also ignore the settings.
Once you update Android 16, you should get a note from the pixel points that tell how the feature works. Although the explainer is present, it seems that for some users the real feature is missing. A Reddate poster states that he updated his Pixel 9 Pro in Android 16, but could not find the widget anywhere. Another radiator claims that the same has happened on his phone after refreshing in Android 16. I can also confirm that after the update, my pixel 6 Pro is missing.
It is important to keep in mind that this is not the first time that something happened with Google’s feature drops. Occasionally, some features that are believed are later part of central updates. For example, the video boast was a promised feature for the December Pixel drop, but it was not available immediately after the update was released.
It is very likely that the contact app needs update before the widget is available. You will also need to take a pixel VIPS app. So we will really turn the Google switch.
