We are not Recent MacOS updates, but with Macos 26 Taho, it seems that we will get the biggest over -house in a while.
Among the visual design and some interesting pro features, there is something for everyone in the Macos 26 Tahao, which a Mac Nirds would like.
Apple also ensure the full roundown of everything announced in WWDC 2025.
Liquid glass
Apple has introduced this widespread visual correction. Liquid glass is what Apple Software Design calls the visual image of its next period.
Marking through soft transparency and jokes, glass -like designs appear in each interface, including menu bars, lock screens, app icons and sidebars in apps. From what I have seen so far, this is a good change, though some designers have concerns how it can interfere with the basic functionality. The aesthetic changes in Macos were not as severe as iOS is passing, but it seems that it is a well -defined fresh coat of paint.

The design has some small changes, such as the ability to change the color of folders or add emoji to them. The control center located above in the menu bar, is also made completely transparent. More importantly, Apple has added tons of further customization so that you can add faster settings to change. You can even add specific settings to the commonly used apps such as zooms.
McCons Taho also brought a design that came to the iPhones last year: Tint for icons, which apply a unanimous look to all your icons. In fact, I am surprised that it’s coming to Micros, because the reviewers did not receive it well.
The main spotlight update
This is the feature I am most excited about. The Spotlight Search Tool has always been one of my favorite features in Macos, and I’m waiting for Apple to take this popular feature to the next level. It is smart at almost every level, quickly offers apps, documents, or even your clipboard history. But this refreshing is much more than that.
First, the spotlight can now take action in the actions of the system and even in the app, such as playing podcasts or starting recording. Even you can fill the parameters as if you are sending an email to who you are sending – once, in the spotlight!

Hundreds of steps can now be triggered by the spotlight, such as sending email, making notes, or playing podcasts.

But wait, more. There are even sharp keys that you can use to accelerate things. Type “SM” to send a message to create a reminder. Think about the next level of key orders with them. You can also set your quick keys, increasing the capabilities and customs. For example, you can set up Quick Quick Quick Keys to take action inside an app that you are using, will allow you to set up a job quickly from the keyboard. This is there for Mac’s nerves that already know every other key command, and I can’t wait to try it.
AI -driven shortcut
The shortcut can be a really powerful way to automate tasks on your Mac. With Macos Tahao, these are upgraded by Apple Intelligence, which allows you to set a shortcut, such as summarizing the text or creating images. Even if necessary, you can also tap Chat GPT (or on -device neural engine), which sets chains of actions that can potentially be extremely useful. For example, you can create a shortcut in which notes notes are compared to the audio transcript from the lecture, and then summarize the differences using Apple Intelligence.
