In a post on X (previously known as Twitter), the official handle of Android developers confirmed the release date of Android 16 updates. It will be made available to qualified devices as a free Over the Year (OTA) software update on Wednesday. Tech Dev has not detected the release time, which means that updates are likely to reach different areas due to different time zones.

Android 16 phone eligibility list
Initially Android 16 updates are expected to be available only on synchronized pixels devices, and it will be taken directly by other brands to the proprietary OS skin directly or in the upper part. Android 16 features to expect
