Apple tied a group of major updates in its annual developer conference note worldwide. During the event, the company showed a mixture of new features for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Air Pods and more, along with the coming sleek design refreshing in its operating system.
Here Apple has made a round -up of some of the most interesting changes announced during a key note.
As predispted, Apple has given new version numbers to each of its operating systems that now align the year after their release rather than version number. The new names are iOS 26, iPados 26, Macos 26, Wachos 26, TVOS 26, and Vision 26. They will come out at the end of 2025, but still, it is easier to remember the iOS 19, Wachos 12, and Macos 16.
The operating system is available as the developer beta starting today and will be available to all users this fall.

Apple is improving the design in its operating system. Now they will have a new liquid glass theme that will add more transparency to buttons, switches, slides, text and media controls in their interface.
On the lock screen of iOS 26, the date, time, notification preview will also adopt a new shape, which will allow you to get a clear view of your wallpaper behind all the text.
New Search for Camera, Safari, and Phone Apps

As part of its wider design, Apple has given a new look for some of its basic apps in iOS 26. Now, the web pages in Safari will pick up your entire screen. The camera app also has an easy layout that shows you two main options-picture and video-and you can swipe on the toolbar to display other methods, such as slow mo and cinema.
The phone app is also getting an upgrade, as it will now have a setting in which the favorite, receipt and voice miles will be added to a panel, while calls, contacts and the key will remain at the bottom of the cap.

Apple is bringing a major update from iPados 26 to facilitate multi -tasking. The new window capabilities will allow you to change the size of the App Windows, keep them around your display and open more windows at the same time. It is also adding a more precise mouse pointer and a new menu bar, which allows you to swipe different options and command on an app. It all looks like a Mac.
Ipados 26 is also getting a version of Mac’s preview app to view and interpret the image and files.
Messages get new features of custom background and group chat

Apple is updating messages to change your chat background and make a pool in group conversation. Some other updates include typing for group chats and the ability to screen messages from unknown seals, which will appear in a separate folder rather than your central list.

Apple revealed a new Games app that will allow you to access all your Apple Arcade Games and discover new locations from one place. You have checked the library tab to watch the games downloaded from the App Store, as well as the option together with the play to challenge friends.

Although Apple’s key note was a bit lighter on AI News, the company announced that it would allow third -party app developers to access the on -device model used by Apple Intelligence, which would allow it to make its tools.
