Vivo X200 Ultra is just the release of China, so most buyers will not be sad, but dedicated Android fans who want advanced camera experience and sufficient amounts of premium features should definitely include it in their desire list.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is included in the most famous camera phones in the surroundings. But a strong argument can be made that as far as hardware is concerned, Samsung’s flagship (and to some extent Google’s top pixels) are stagnant.

Samsung’s base and Plus phones have effectively used the same camera hardware since 2022, while its recent ultra phones have offered the latest ultra -wide camera and the modern 5x 50MP camera. Nevertheless, the company is still sticking to its $ 1,200 ultra -devices with a scale with a 10MP 3X camera.

However, the newly launched VIVO X200 Ultra has shaken things massive, and after using it for several weeks, I really hope that Apple, Google and Samsung’s choice are taking notes from 2026 and beyond.

VIVO X200 Ultra 35mm Main Camera Test and Samples

Vivo’s most notable camera move is offering a 35 mm main camera (50MP LYT-818, 1/128 inches). On the contrary, 99 % of smartphones in the market use a 24 mm main camera, offering a wide field of view. The 35 mm camera is equivalent to 1.4X or 1.5X camera. Due to the back parts of ZTE, Vivo is not the first manufacturer to do so, but it is still a major extension for the tech.

As fellow Rob Trugs observed, having a local 35 mm focal length should reduce facial distortion compared to standard 24 mm lenses. But even more importantly, in my own experience, it allows for a better structure. Check this comparison between the old Pixel 7 Pro and the X200 Ultra to see the difference between the traditional 24mm smartphone shot and the image of 35 mm. I didn’t have to worry about the above sheets or people are sitting near my friend.

Pixel 7 Pro at 24 mmVivo X200 Ultra on 35 mm

In addition, a local 35 mm camera should theoretically provide better image quality than similar 24 mm camera. However, I had to look pixel to find any significant quality differences compared to the 35 mm crop. So this is not the difference between night and day quality if you are set up with a software -based 35 mm mode, especially when some phones allow you to set a 35 mm crop as default.

This main camera is still intact in different conditions of light, which has plenty of detail, a wide dynamic range (see the fourth and sixth picture in the gallery), and a little noise. I occasionally see a few more processing, especially at night when Vivo sometimes takes a lot of noise to decrease and faster in the same scenario. I am also happy to know that this camera is not suffering from X200 Pro’s primary shooter.

Ultrawide camera hardware that is close to the main camera

We have also accepted the Pixel 9 series and the Galaxy S25 Ultra high resolution ultra -wide cameras. However, these sensors are much smaller than basic cameras. However, Vivo has decided to use the same 1/1.28 -inch camera sensor for both central and ultra -wide cameras. It also looks like the next logical move for the more mainstream brands.

Perhaps I saw the biggest advantage with the X200 Ultra Ultra -Wide camera that had a great shine. There is no major difference between ultra -wide and important cameras.

Improved lighting also means that I was able to capture handheld estro -photography shots using a wide camera. This is especially important because it means that you can get a more wide night in your pictures.

    1xUltrawide

I thought the X200 Ultra Ultra Wide camera was far from perfect. According to the X200 Pro’s disappointing wide angle shooter, there is still a lot of relaxation. I really feel as if Vivo may have overcome the current 14 mm to the Field of View to overcome this problem and distortion. I also thought that ultra -wide shots were usually quite block and soft compared to the main camera, this problem appears to be extremely at night. Check the comparison below.

In any case, I think Vivo certainly needs to improve the quality of ultra -wide image, but it is clear that the difference between this and the central camera has diminished to some extent. This is not the first time we have seen that smartphones use the same camera sensor for both the Main and Ultrawide lenses (Find the X3 Pro to the X3 Pro), but I also want to draw Google and Samsung.

Vivo has also taken an interesting move to default to the ultra -wide camera for the video. It is understood on the paper that with a narrow area of camera theory, such as the central sensor of 35 mm, is less stable than a wider camera. You can still switch to 35 mm camera anyway, though it seems that Vivo Ultra is shooting 8K/30FPS videos specially through Wide Lens. In any case, I thought that the video capture was at least equal to the good X200 Pro, which has smooth panning and good stability. But I felt strange highlights on people’s faces while filming portrait video in poor lighting.

What about this 200 MP zoom camera?

Vivo was the first smartphone brand to adopt 200 MP Zoom camera on a smartphone, which launched the feature of the X100 Ultra in 2024. Then this honor has become a reality on high -end phones like Magic 7 Pro and Xiaomi 15 UltraAnd the X200 Ultra returns with 200MP 3.7x Percup camera (F/2.27).

This zoom camera provides image quality that is close to the main camera, which has good levels of detail, permanent color, and dynamic range and very low noise. Image quality falls faster from 10x to 15x, however, 20x shots are a gambling. But more than anything, I want to see Google and Samsung a similar way with my zoom cameras. I would love to see Pixel 11 Pro with 200 MP Tele Camera or a large 50 MP PercOP lens.

    35 mm85 mm

Like the X200 Pro and the X100 Ultra, the X200 ultra takes out Google when it comes to the fact that you can use a parasope camera. Expected macro -focus and 4K/120fps slow motion options as well as automatic focus switching (such as iPhones), a stage mode, and a portrait video with high resolution active stable video. There is also local support for 8K video and night video capture.

I thought there was still room for improvement. Vivo makes some sketching processing in the long focal length, as I have seen in my hands with the X200 Ultra’s crazy exterior lens. During my time with the lens, I noticed that the phone really looks about balcony railing from zoom snap for a very long distance snap, while the image taken with the lens has maintained it. The field also has a very depth when close -up images or completely blowing macro shots (such as food or insects). So if you want to focus everything, you have to back down. Nevertheless, this depth of the field works for portrait snaps.

Thankfully, the Vivo X200 Ultra 2025 flagship device also collides with many boxes. Here is the most powerful Snapdragon 8 elite chip set, a 6,000 mAh battery that usually provides regular use of two days, 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, and a bright, 6.82 -inch QHD+ OLED screen. Other notable Vivo X200 ultra features include IP68/IP69 ratings, an Apple style camera control button, ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 6.0, and WiFi 7.

Therefore, Vivo X200 has a modern set of cameras in ultra, which can be a symbol of incoming things, a ton of performance, a large battery, and plenty of premium extras. So far, so good, okay?

Vivo X200 is another great camera phone of Ultra Vivo that most people can’t buy.

However, an important warning. Unlike excellent Vivo X200 Pro (9 749.99 in GIZTOP), the ultra is limited to China only. If you are interested in the device, limited availability of it strictly reduce your purchase options. You have to pay only 1,049 fees to import the phone from store Fronts like Ges Top. Only the nature of China also means that you lose a quick shares, though Google Wallet works well, and it supports Android Auto. ESIM support is the absence of another glowing from China’s only phones. There are ESIM Adaptors who bring it to the phone without tech, but this is still a significant mistake here.

In any case, I really hope that Google and Samsung embrace 35 mm main camera, flagship sensor ultra -wide camera, and more expensive zooms. Because it certainly looks like the rest of the industry will adopt or adopt it.
