With the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge sliding between Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 ultra, it is natural to wonder what of these three. Especially in markets like India and the United States, where the edge is only more than $ 100/INR 10,000 S25+expensive. Even if both devices are designed for different users, it is always advisable to get the best hardware for your hard earned money.

However, European users have it easy. Plus model is about $ 400 less than the edge. So is it worth the Edge Premium? Let’s find out.

    Table of contents:

Starting La you, you can compare complete spectrum sheets or continue directly with our editor’s diagnosis In the following text.

    The size comparison

Although both handsets share almost the same design, the camera listens to Island, and the same screen is a clear advantage to the S25 Edge. It is quite light, thin and even small and tight. So when it comes to portability, the S25 edge is a clear choice.

As far as the quality of construction is concerned, the edge is better again. The front section in the handset contains a hard gorilla glass ceramic 2 protective panels, and a light and strong titanium frame.

    Display the comparison

There is absolutely no contradiction in the display department. Galaxy S25 Edge and S25+ share the same display technology, size, features and resolutions. Both screens were able to promote a slightly 1,400 netsWhich is also fine for external use, a bright sunny day.

    Battery life

The battery is less than the S25+with the Galaxy S25 Edge, no surprise that it offers a inferior battery life. Plus model improves the edge in every battery test, but we are surprised to see that the edge in the video playback test draws closer to S25+.

    Charging speed

The Galaxy S25+ charge has been closed using a power delivery charger at 45W, which supports Samsung’s proprietary PPS, while the S25 Edge 25W is set for charge. In theory, S25+ should be quite fast, but not really.

Comparison charging times between both phones are from 0 to 100 %. Samsung has been quite conservative with its charging speed and its Galaxy S phones usually seem to be in full charge at the same time.

Nevertheless, S25+ gives you more compensation in the first 15 to 30 minutes of charging cycle, which is more practical in our books. When someone is in a hurry, no one receives their phone from 0 to 100 %, so we consider the S25+charging curve to be good for real -world scenarios.

    Speaker test

Although sound tuning is the same, the Galaxy S25+ comes up with the filler sound and more prominent boss. Loud speakers on Plus are also a tedious high.

Given the size of the S25 Edge, it is expected to some extent. In this case, small phones, or thin, feel difficult to produce strong bass and are usually calm.

    Efficiency

Galaxy S25+ and S25 Edge share the same chip set – Snapdragon 8 Elite for the galaxy. “Galaxy” victim means that CPUs and GPUs are roaming over. Further, in particular, the main two CPU cores run at a high clock speed compared to the standard SD 8 elite.

Available memory configurations are the same. Both devices are offered in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB in variations. Whatever memory options you choose, you get UFS 4.0 storage.

    Benchmark performance

As someone expects, there is hardly the performance difference. The S25+ S25 edge best improves the edge 2-3 % and even the joint antioxidants fall behind in 10 tests. There is no surprise here.

    Camera compares

The Galaxy S25 Edge uses 200 MP sensors of Samsung for its primary camera, borrows on the Galaxy S25/S25+ ultra -wide unit and completely leaves the telephoto camera. On the other hand, S25+, a small 50MP main sensor, a full 3X zoom unit and the same 12MP ultra -wide camera are similar to the edge. The only difference is that Edge’s ultra -wide camera has auto -focus.

    Selfie cameras are the same.

    Image standard

We are surprised to see the Galaxy S25+ main camera producing images with the same standard. In addition to some minor differences in processing, which are excellently minor, the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25+ occupy close sculpture photos with their main cameras. The same is the case for ultra -wide shots, where auto -focuses have a bit of benefit to the edge, which helps to produce slightly fast images.

    Galaxy S. 25+: 0.6x • 1x • 2x • 3x

We were expecting 2x zoom crops slightly better than the edge, looking at the large 200 MP sensor, but we struggle to find a meaningful difference. This is also the case for a 3X zoom comparison, where the 200 MP camera crop is similar to the 3X telephoto camera dedicated to S25+.

But as the light falls, Edge’s 200 MP main camera shows somewhat clean and sharp 2x and 3X zoom photos. Therefore, at the end of the day, the 3X zoom camera deficiency does not seem to be an edge problem. At least in this context.

    Galaxy S. 25 Edge: 0.6x (F/2.2, ISO 500, 1/10s)

    Galaxy S. 25 Edge: 0.6x • 1x • 2x • 3x

    Galaxy S. 25+: 0.6x (F/2.2, ISO 500, 1/10s)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 1 x (F/1.8, ISO 800, 1/50 S)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 2 x (F/1.8, ISO 640, 1/50 S)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 3x (F/2.4, ISO 250, 1/8s)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 0.6x (F/2.2, ISO 800, 1/9S)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 1 x (F/1.8, ISO 2000, 1/50 S)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 2 x (F/1.8, ISO 250, 1/10s)
    Galaxy S. 25+: 3 x (F/2.4, ISO 320, 1/8s)

    Galaxy S. 25+: 0.6x • 1x • 2x • 3x

We also saw a slight difference in post -processing of low -light pictures than main cameras. Galaxy S25 Edge shots offer more contrast and slightly deeper, more natural shadows.

    The quality of the video

Below we have some frames from videos taken by two phones at each focal length, so it is easy to compare each other.

    Galaxy S25+ 4K screen grab: 1x
    Galaxy S25+ 4K screen grab: 2x
    Galaxy S25+ 4K screen grab: 3x

    Galaxy S25+ 4K screen grab: 0.6x • 1x • 2x • 3x

As far as videos are concerned, there is practically no difference between the edge and the plus. Nevertheless, we will prefer S25+ that the 3X zoom video is slightly clean than the 3x zoom crop. The gap is expanded as the light falls, as the S25+telephoto unit produces a lot of noise and more detailed videos.

    Word

At first glance, the Galaxy S25 makes a lot of sacrifices in favor of the Edge Design. This is definitely a better choice when it comes to portability compared to S25+. But the latter will provide you with a long life of battery, faster charging and good speaker.

On paper, the Galaxy S25+Camera System is also more versatile, but this is not the case in real world scenario. The main sensor of the S25 Edge can provide images like 3X telephoto.

Therefore, while the edge looks like a good choice of choice, given the small difference between the two handsets in the United States, the Galaxy S25+ has a lot of meaning in India and Europe, where it is significantly reduced. You just need to decide whether you prefer the form more than the form or vice versa.
