Sony has revealed its first wireless fight stick, called a project defant, and continues in 2026.
Announced during the June State of the PlayStation, the project defantation is designed for a variety of fighting games and can be used wireless or wired for PlayStation 5 and PC.
In the PlayStation Blog Post, Edwin Fu said, “This sleek will give players more flexibility to play their favorite fighting games, whether it is wireless with modern playstation link technology that provides very low delays, or by a wired connection to the PS5 or PC,” said Eden Fu. “

The Project Defant includes a high quality digital stick designed by Sony, Toolius, like a touchpad found on the exchange restriction doors (square, circle, and octagoon), mechanical switch buttons, and a touchpad found on double sensation wireless controller.

The controller also has a strong, aergonomic design for longer gaming sessions, which includes a storage compartment for the convenience restriction doors, and the PS link USB adapter.
Like the Davilitis Wireless Controller, the project defense also supports the potential to wire the user’s PS5 by pressing and holding the PS button in the upper part of the device.
As mentioned earlier, input timing has been improved thanks to Sony’s PS link wireless technology, but there is also an option for players to plug in to play using a wired USB-C connection.
Sony has also confirmed that the Fight Stick will be packed with a throwing Carrie case, including a lever gap to keep digital stick safe, which will allow players to take hardware on the go.
Since the project defense is just a code name, we will probably learn the name of the fight stick near the launch.
