Which product is being called back?
As of June 5, 2025, Johnson Health Tech Trading has voluntarily withdrawn the Bowlix 552, 52.5 pounds adjusted Dimbs and Boflax 1090, 90 pounds of adjusted dumbs. Of these, 3.7 million Boflax was sold by Inc. (formerly Niests, Inc.).
These black dumbs with red tone include handles, weight plates and plastic trays. The 552 dumbs weigh up to five to 52.5 pounds, while 1090 dumbbells adjust up to 10 to 90 pounds. Model and serial numbers are under the plastic tray. A complete list of serial and model numbers included in the memory can be found on the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.
The serial number is located below the Boflax 552 and 1090 adjusted dumbs. Here is a 1090 model.
This memory includes Johnson Health Tech Trading, Boflax.com or Dumbbells purchased from Johnson Health Tech trading, Boflax.com or an authorized retailer between April 23, 2024, as well as April 23, 2024, including Nigelis, Inc. or any other authorized retailer (including Dick Sports and Best purchases).
Why are they being called back?
The problem is that weight plates can be excluded from the handle during use, which threatens the effect. Johnson Health Tech trading has received 12 reports of the elimination of plates during use, without injury. Now the defective nutales have received 337 reports of the arrival of the plates during use, resulting in injuries to 111 people such as riots, contradictions, friction or broken fingers.
According to Johnson Health Tech trading, “we stand behind the integrity of our products and are committed to help our customers during their fitness journey. This voluntary memory is an active and extensive launch of our main mission of serving consumer service with high quality and sustainable fitness devices.”
In response to these reports, Johnson Health has developed a secure version of 552 and 1090 dumbs designed to comply with strict safety standards. This alternative model is the Boflax Results Series 552 Select Tech Dimbles and the Results Series 1090 Select Tech Dimbs.
Consumers who buy their dumbbal from Natils can use a provision refund vouchers to buy after new dumbs are available.
