Well, things for Samsung’s next foldable phone have just become interesting (and a bit confused). On Tuesday evening, Samsung announced that it was bringing the company’s “Ultra” branding to its foldable for the first time this summer. This announcement comes with a teaser of the book -style foldable, suggesting that the phone we are referring to as “Galaxy Z Fold 7” can go by a different name, possibly “Galaxy Z Fold Ultra” or “Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra.”
As someone who has been lightly lightly in the last two years of the Galaxy Z Folds, the possibility of a significant upgrade this year is interesting. And with the Samsung Ultra Branding, it certainly suggests that what we are getting.
The only problem is that rumors suggest that this year’s Zool will not be able to fold “ultra”. The new name is setting expectations at all times, but if what we know about the new Z -Fold is true, the ultra -name can be unnecessary and misleading.
What do you think will be called the next Galaxy Z Fold?

The Galaxy Z Fold which is we waiting for?
Galaxy Z Fold 7 has leaked A lot of Over the past few months, and assuming that this is the phone known as the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra/Z Fold 7 Ultra, some leaks certainly indicate that the ultra name will be justified.
Perhaps the biggest symbol is the new design. Raders leaked by Z Fold 7 has suggested that its aesthetics will not be different from Zood 6, though this year’s phone should be quite thin and light.
Samsung all confirms this in the new teaser above, showing a silhouette of a foldable phone that is significantly thinner from the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The press release about this ultra -foldable offer also contains the language, “you have been indicated in low weight, without weight, without weight.
We have heard the news that Z -Fold 7’s primary camera will replace the aging 50MP sensor significantly 200 MP One, in which it will be brought to align with the Galaxy S25 Ultra primary camera. The screens are also rumored to grow, which increases from an 8.2 -inch internal display to 8.5 inches, as well as a new 6.5 -inch core screen, which replaces the previous 6.2 inches size. Finally, the usual chip set upgrade should be, which means that the Galaxy Z Fold will run through the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip found in the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung has high expectations on this year’s Z -Fold by adding an ultra -name.
So far, so good, okay? A thin and light design, large display, a new primary camera, and a better chip set. These are all meaningful upgrades, and if we are moving from the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to Galaxy Z Fold 7, I will be very happy. But if we are now moving from the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, I expect the board to reflect the specifications. And unfortunately, we have the reason to believe that this will not happen.
Ultra means to be ultra

As the aforementioned changes may occur, there is a lot about the Galaxy Z Fold 7/Fold 7 Ultra, which is allegedly the same – and they are very important.
They have the capacity of the chief battery. Regulatory filing shows that the new Z -Fold will have a battery of 4,400mAh, which is currently the same capacity found in the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In fact, this is the size of the battery that Samsung has used in the Z -Fold Series since the Galaxy Z Fold 3. In a world where competitive foldables such as Honor Magic V3 and Oppo Foldables Foldables Foldables Looking for Non Honor Magic V3 and Oppo Foldables in search of Oppo Foldables, Anar Magic V3 and Oppo Foldables, respectively, will not be difficult to grip with its first ultra -folding.
The Galaxy Z Folds 7/Fold 7 has been the same in a lot of the same.
It also believes that the charging speed will remain the same, which is just as disappointing. Another year of 25W wired charging, in 2025, will look ridiculous, on the ultra -branded foldable. This is particularly true because the Foldables of Oppo and Oppo’s foldables have shocked Samsung out of the water, respectively with 66W and 80W wired charge.
In addition, the interesting 200 MP primary camera, we are not expecting any other changes to the camera. This means another year of 12 MP ultra -wide camera, 10 MP telephoto camera, 10 MP front feeing camera, and 4 MP Under -display camera.
Does any of the sounds of this voice for you?
Samsung is playing a dangerous game

When Samsung first introduced the Ultra Mankar in 2020 with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, it indicated a rigorous upgrade from the company’s other phones. The Galaxy S20 Ultra was the first Galaxy S. Handset with a 6.9 -inch display, 16GB RAM, 108mp primary camera, and 100 X zoom. It was a big deal, and it justified the name of the ultra.
However, in the aftermath of the years, this ultra branding has lost weight and decreased. This Galaxy S25 is hardly guaranteed on devices like Ultra and Galaxy Watch Ultra, the ultra name is now used out of habit rather than pointing to significant changes or upgrades.
It has been somewhat commendable that Samsung has kept his ultra branding away from his foldable for so long, so the fact is that this year is coming after six years this year – and why the galaxy Zood 7 ultra expectations are so high.

If the Samsung wants to release the Galaxy Z Fold with the Ultra Name, great! But if that happens, it should mean something. The first ultra -foldable needs to be upgraded to a great extent in every way to get its ultra label, and so far, based on the leak, it seems that this will happen this year. Samsung’s first Z -Fold Ultra should not be badly slowed down the outdated camera sensor, a minor battery capacity, or charging speed. Still, we are expecting that.
I have never been against the idea of the release of the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, but when this happens, the first ultra -Samsung Foldables should be important. The company can do the best. If the Z Fold 7 Ultra is not a phone, it should not be called ultra.
And if so, it’s just bad marketing and a bad idea all around.
