    • Google Maps for Android Automoto are getting customized design elements.
    • This will allow the UI to meet the UI in the new maps.
    • The pool star announced that this feature would join its cars in the coming weeks.

Although Android Automoto is installed in many vehicles, you will not find two brands with the same OS aesthetic. The reason for this is that Google allows car makers to customize the UI to fit their desired user experience. However, the story is a bit different for the apps you installed, as they are not affected by the impact of the design of the OS. But it is soon changing for at least one auto brand.

At SXSW London, Paul Star revealed that it was working with Google to bring customized design elements to Google maps. These customs design elements allow you to change the shape of the maps so that it is better than the UI as a whole. Paul Star says the change will “create a more balanced look and feeling in the user interface as a whole.” In the LinkedIn post, the company shared an example below to show what it would be like.

Currently, Google Maps on Android Automoto have round UI elements and use different color themes than the rest of the Pool Star. You can see how the current version in the left picture looks like. Meanwhile, center and right images show custom design. In these examples, you can see that the UI elements now have the Square of Age. The UI pool also adopts the color of the default orange accent.

According to Pool Star, this update is coming to all its vehicles in the coming weeks. We will assume that Google is working with other brands to bring similar customs elsewhere, but it is not known what the company’s plans are.
