Samsung is preparing to delete older user accounts that have not been active for two years. Starting July 31, 2025, any Samsung account, which has not been used or logged in in the last 24 months, will be permanently deleted. This includes all the account data associated with the account.
According to Samsung, the target of this policy is to help protect personal data. If an account has not been touched over the years, it can be a target of unauthorized access. Removing unused accounts is a way to reduce this risk.
Users who want to keep their account need to take action before the deadline. It would be enough to log in to the account or to reset the inactive period while signing in using the Samsung Service. If no action has been taken before July 31, the account will be deleted permanently. Once deleted, access will be blocked and any data stored in the account will be lost in good.
Samsung says it will send e -mail reminders to affected users before the date of deletion. That said, if you have used more than one Samsung account in the past years, it is a good time to check whether none of them are unused. Login now can save you from losing valuable information later.
