Instagram is finally supporting pictures of 3: 4 aspect ratio on the photo and video sharing platform. Many smartphone cameras use the same aspect ratio as default, which means that consumers will now be able to upload photos on Instagram without any crop. This service had previously offered help for photos of 5: 4 or 1: 1 (square) aspect. The company says 3: 4 aspect ratio will be available for images when uploading a single image, or when adding numerous photos to a carcon.
Instagram users can still upload images in the previously supported aspect ratio
On Thursday, Instagram chief Adam Mouser announced photos of 3: 4 aspect ratio, through a post on the company’s microblogging platform, threads. “From now on, if you upload a picture of 3: 4, it will now be exactly as you have shot,” he added, adding that Instagram now supports the same shape in which most smartphone cameras are already default.

The Instagram creator broadcasting channel has also revealed that the platform supports single photo posts, and 3: 4 aspects of the ratio on carrosals. Meanwhile, users can still upload 4: 5 and 1: 1 (square) images and carrosals, but the smartphone camera (with default settings) may need to crop pictures of tablets.
A photo shared on the channel also shows how pictures of the 3: 4 aspect ratio will appear on Instagram. The screenshot on the left shows an icon in a ratio of 4: 5, while the right side is a long, unprecedented image that contains more information.
Last month, Instagram developed a new amendment app that supports video editing on a smartphone. This app was introduced to compete with another rival byestine video editing app Cape Cut. It also allows users to edit and upload content in other apps, without watermark.
The company also released a compound feature that shows the recommended rails for users in Instagram messages. This feature has been in testing for a year, and this is just an invitation feed that shows users a personal feed on the basis of their Instagram activity. Instagram blending feature is currently available to users on Instagram of iOS and Android smartphones.
