Ever since Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 was released a bit a week ago, the number of new features and changes we have had almost high. Content 3 expression is the star of the show, but we have also received the burden of other things – recently, proof of something called “Pixel themes”.
You ask what is the pixel theme? We do not yet know fully. We managed to enable a new “themes” tab in the wallpaper and style app, described as a new (and non -happy) “pixel custom pack” as “discovering pixel themes” through the application. None of this is working right now, but it all strictly suggests that Google Pixel phone will soon get new options for customized through this themes system.
This can mean many different things – new wallpapers, fonts, app icon design, and something more. But above all, if Google is serious about making the pixels more customized, it is time now to support the app icon pack.
Do you think Google will support the “Pixel themes” icon pack?

Time for icon pack is right

As stands today, the app icon is available on the pixel phones. Android 12 introduces the theme icons to match applications with the color of your phone’s accent, but almost four years later, this feature is still technically in beta and does not support enough developer. After Android 16 will introduce the version of the app icon, which allows you to customize the shape of your app icons, such as converting them to a square or cum branch.
And… just. Compared to every other Android skin in the market, Google’s tools are the most bound for personal nature. The argument, the most obvious mistake is the complete absence of icon pack support.
From the early days of Android, the customization of the app icon through the third party icon pack has been a great way to give your home screen personal. It has the most quick effect on how your phone looks, and there are practically non -ending options in terms of icon pack design.

This proves to be an immediate visit to the Google Play Store. Want something with a simple, clean design? Easily the Encyuli icon pack covers you. Everything was boring circle before, before the unique app shapes were remembered? Lena icon pack is a great way to revive the days of glory. And if you want something else, the Olympia icon is being prepared with a style.
Google’s tools are the most bound for the Appi icon personal nature.
There are best years icon packs for years on the whole Play Store, and today, many Android skins help them out of the box with their default launcher. The OnePlus’s oxygenos locally supports the icon pack with its launcher, as nothing is on the phone. After downloading the theme park module from Good Lock, you can also use the icon pack with Samsung’s One UI.
This has not always been, but in recent years, local icon pack support has become more common – but not with pixels. Although OnePlus, nothing, Samsung, and others have seen the light, Google is disturbing in the dark.

Oxygenosis 15 excellent app icon customization.
Although complaining to the great scheme of things can be a small thing, it is one of the mistakes that is most disappointing because it is easy. Google, the owner of Android and the ruler, should be able to support the app icon pack with the switch flick. Still, in all these years we had a pixel phone (and before the nexus), Google has never shown any interest in doing so.
That is why it is very optimistic to see something like Pixel themes. This is the first time in the years that Google has shown any indication of changing its methods in the area. Although the existence of Pixel themes does not guarantee that the icon pack support is coming, at least I hope the direction we are heading.
I hope Google won’t interrupt it

Although it may be easy to understand that icon -pack support will prove to be part of this new pixel themes system, I can easily see it doing something less interesting with it – such as using it together as a method of bundling its custom colors, wallpapers, etc. Google to consider the company’s previous resistance, it is likely that Google is ready for this possibility.
At a more personal level, though, I really hope that this is not. Icon -pack support on Pixel phones has been something I have wanted for years, and it is shining that it may eventually be that it is uncertain. Google is apparently creating a system where the existence of the app icon pack will mean. And if something like Pixel themes is finally enough to get Google on the board, I’m not sure what will happen.
We should get more information about the Pixel themes in the next week, and I will be crossing my fingers all the time that the icon pack is part of it. Please, Google, don’t mess it up.
