Some T -Mobile users are discovering a new suspicious sound option that has access to a carrier’s T -Life app on their phone that continues as default: screen recording tool. The point to understand is, a setting that records the contents of your screen gives rise to privacy concerns. This is especially true recently because Microsoft continues its controversial memory in Windows, which saves snap shots in the background.

If you are a T -Mobile Subscriber, you can check whether this new option has been turned on by tapping and tapping the app. Manage And then tap Settings (Gear icon). Screen recording device Appears under the option Preference Heading

The T -Mobile spokesperson defended this feature, as designed to improve the user’s experience.

The spokesperson said, “We are developing a new tool in the app to help us give us a smooth experience to users using T -Life, which will help us to address the information or found issues immediately.” “This tool just records activities within the app and does not see or access any personal information. If a user’s T -Life app currently supports new functionality, it can be closed in settings under priorities.”

The description in the app for the screen recording tool echoes the same intention, but the fact is that the option is underway as a default, there is no doubt that consumers are justifying.

It states: “We use a tool to record how users use the app to analyze your experience and improve their experience. Only T -Mobile will review your information and analyze it. If you change this toggle on or Majenta, we will record your screen if you do not record your screen. Will. “

(“Migranta” and “Gray” refer to the color of the swelling switch to indicate whether it is active, respectively.)

According to a post related to drod life, which previously cited the issue, the new option appears on both the iPhone and the Android phone. However, I will note that this has not yet appeared on my test devices.

The T -Life app contains another screen recording feature that is completely different from this new screen recording tool. In the app settings, under Help and helpWhat is a screen share, which can be used during the support call. This allows a T -Mobile expert to look at your phone screen, addressing a problem.

If you have ever tried to help a friend or family member on the phone and asked them to explain what is on the screen, you will appreciate that they are watching directly they are watching what they are seeing.
