Google first introduced Android updates to Android in 2016 without interruption. While the refreshing method at this point is about a decade old, it is a new experience for many loyal Samsung fans. Unlike other Android OEMS, Samsung has long been avoided using smooth updates on his phones. However, Korean Tech Dev finally took advantage of the Galaxy A55 in 2024. Since then, the company has also brought up the update method in its flagship Galaxy S25 series.
When we first asked our readers whether they preferred the refreshments without interruption, or the old school point of Samsung was divided, the votes were divided, which was more than in favor of smooth updates. Now that some time has passed, we are wondering if your position on this topic has changed. Vote in our survey below, and explain in the comments section without hesitation, how do you currently feel about the refreshments without interruption.

If you are not aware of how smooth updates are different from Samsung’s old traditional point of view, here is a fast roundown. Allows the smooth procedure to download in the background, which means you can continue to use your phone until you are asked to restart your device. From there, you just have to wait a few seconds when the update ends before you return to your apps. On the contrary, the traditional approach forces you to completely use your phone until the software is fully installed.
We can understand some of the complaints about refreshments without interruptions, such as Google’s A/B structure is eating some of your valuable storage. So we do not accuse you if the refreshments without interruption have not eliminated you. Our own Zack Qi Dennis made more divers in this matter, explaining why he does not like the point of view.
At the same time, there is a lot to like about this procedure. For example, smooth updates are more stable due to the A/B structure, which allows the phone to go back to the old construction if something goes wrong in installation. In addition, Google has solved some important issues, such as compressing the size of the two software version so that they can’t keep too much space on your phone.
