Google co -founder Sergey Bern recently presented amazing Google I/O 2025. One day at the developer conference, a fire -chat was scheduled with Deep Mind’s CEO, Demis Cup. However, when the session began, the burn was also included. Throughout the session, the two talked about artificial intelligence (AI), new Gemini tools, the company’s new models’ capabilities, and the Roadmap of the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Google’s co -founder also expressed the reason behind returning from retirement.
Sergey Burn and Demis calculations on Aggie
Fire side chat between Burn, Cell, and Big Technology founder, Alex Controls (moderator), was undergoing direct surgery on YouTube on May 21. The biggest talk point of conversation was AGI and how Google sees this technology.
Accounts explained that for this, AGI is a theoretical construction about what the human brain can do as a architecture. The point is, man, with the same mental architecture, can work extensively. These include creativity, rational thinking, scientific search, and most importantly, real innovation. On the other hand, the AI model cannot handle the entire spectrum. Although some models are done fine in some tasks, the Fine tone is done, but the normal models are just average in everything.
Counts added, “Today, it is clear to me, the system does not have it. And then the second thing, why do I think it is suppressed in a way, today the hype to the AGI is that our systems are not permanent that they are fully considered as commonplace. They are still quite common.”
However, this does not mean that the CEO of Deep Mind is not convinced that it is unacceptable. Identifying some obstacles in the current AI system, such as the qualification of reasoning, the creative invention and the accuracy of global models, he said that the AGI can be achieved with “one or two more successes”.
However, when asked for a potential timeline for AGI before or after 2030, Bern has quickly responded, “first”. On the other hand, the calculation replied, “After that.” “We fully plan that Gemini will be the first AGI,” Google’s co -founder added.
It is not surprising to show that they came out of retirement in 2023 to help the company take advantage of the first mover in the AI place. Explaining why he chose to return to work, he said, “As a computer scientist, this is a very unique time in history, such as, honestly, who is a computer scientist should not retire yet. He should work on AI.”
