You probably heard a lot about Android 16 Qpr1 beta this week – and for good reason. This latest beta release is on our first look at the biggest changes facing the user of Android 16, including the re -design of the substance 3 H3.
I have been using Android 16 QPR1 beta on my Pixel 9 Pro for the past two days, and so far, things have been closed for a wonderful start. Content 3 expressions is undoubtedly the characteristic of Helmark, but this beta has more than Google’s new design language (as good).
The first Android 16 Qpr1 beta has six excellent things, as well as a couple of son’s shortcomings.

Content 3 expression feels incredible

Visual changes, such as volume/brightly sliders and blurred UI elements, look fresh and new to the Android 16 QPR1, as Android is not in a long time. But more than the visuals, what affected me the most is about how it feels.
When you move the app icon to your home screen, now there are fine companies when you move around the spaces on the page. When you swipe a notification, it gently emphasizes the notifications above it, before it is finally released with hippoc feedback when you swipe it. If you swipe on an app in the recent apps page but then let it go, it bounces the nearby app cards when it falls back to space.
These are all things that are difficult to keep in writing, but you see them another that you begin to communicate with the Android 16 Qpr1 son. They feel Android more alive and responsible than ever, and I love it.
A new form for notifications

Speaking of information, I like the latest form of Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 for them. The app’s icons are large and more detailed, the text is slightly larger and bold, and the colors of the notification card eventually match the theme of your system.
It doesn’t look like much on paper, but in practice, it all makes a lot of difference. I know that the notifications in Android 16 QPR1 are more standing and it is easy to select information when scrolling through them. It may be a personal priority, but I’m really happy with the changes here.
There is a very better settings app
Even more visual change with which I am very happy is the new settings app. As you open the app, differences are clear, color -coded icons are used for group settings tabs together. Not only does it make the settings more lively, but it also works well with the visual indications of the relevant pages.
In addition, the other menu inside the settings app also looks better. Different types of settings are more clearly separated, while the buttons are also more clearly appreciated. The original sequences and options available are largely alike, but all of this is better offered.
More customized quick settings

Android 16 QPR1 beta 1 also shows some love for quick settings. In particular, it includes a very essential option of customization. Now, in addition to organizing your quick settings toggle position, you can also change their size.
Currently, only two size options are available: standard oval shape, as well as a new small circle that takes half space. I would love to see even more size options under the road, but already, it has helped to make my fast settings clean and more efficient. This allows me to allow all the toggles I want to take a lot of space without them, and new forms also add to some of the most important visual moods.
The magic picture is a lot of fun

This is a feature that I didn’t expect to go to Android 16 QPR1 son, but it has quickly become one of my favorite. By adding a new lock screen or home screen wallpaper, you can now tap a new impact button to promote it. This is the place where you will find a magic picture, which produces the topic of your wallpaper image in a fun cutout. Then you can customize the shape of the frame, as well as the background color and saturation around it.
Once it all sets up, it seems So Lat is good Not only does it put styling loads on your lock screen, but when you unlock your phone, it has an amazing transfer effect where your picture is out of the frame to capture your home screen. It’s charming for the ninth degree, and I’m playing with him. As someone who usually uses a back drop wallpaper, the magic image can turn me into the use of my photos. It’s good
A latest wallpaper and styling app

On the note of the lock screen customization, the “Wallpaper and Style” app has a very new shape in Android 16 QPR1 beta, and this is a very special upgrade.
Now, you can swipe back and forth between your lock screen and home screen options, rather than taping the touch targets near the top of the screen. All the settings of the lock screen clock have also been groups together in a new clock area, while before they spread to a couple of different menu. Combined with the general refreshment for all menu and UI elements through the Wallpaper and Style app, this is a better experience than we have in Android 15.
The worst things about Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1
Joe Mark / Android Authority
Overall, my first impressions of Android 16 Qpr1 Beta 1 have been really positive. Almost all changes are better Are, and they help make Android 16 feel more alive and intuitive than any previous version. All this said, there are two things I am not particularly fond of.
The first status bar is the new battery icon. In Android 15, the percentage of your battery appears with the battery icon, but in Android 16 Qpr1 beta 1, the percentage is placed inside the battery. Is that a little good? Of course, but it also reduces the number of percentage of the number, which makes it more difficult to look at at a glance. This is not the end of the world, but I want to go back to the old design.
I don’t even like what Google did with a look at the home screen. It’s now slightly smaller than ever before, provides you with an extra row of apps and widgets space space. Which is fine, but it doesn’t solve anything.
As a person who is begging Google to beg for a look completely from the home screen, he is begging for a look completely, it does not help to reduce it. And if you like in a glance, I don’t think you will be happy with its new size, because sometimes I find it difficult to read, especially with busy wallpapers. To me, it feels like most people will not be happy. I hope the old size will come back to those who like in a glance, and for all of us, it is time that Google finally gave us the option to get rid of it.
For an excellent start

Although I want to see the above complaints in future updates, this is proof that if my two biggest problems are the battery icon design and size in a look, how good it is Android 16 QPR 1 beta 1.
I think you will have a great time with Android 16 Qpr1 Beta 1.
It seems that Google is nailing almost everything with Android 16 Qpr1. Content 3 expression re -design is interesting, the customs included with quick settings are very good, and I can’t emphasize how amazing the magic image is.
