    • The feature of the upcoming antioxidant index of Samsung allows you to track the surface of your body’s beta carotene through your Galaxy Watch sensors.
    • To perform the measurement, the clock should be removed against the thumb, which is then compatible with the Samsung Health app on the attached phone.
    • Full details of compatibility are not clear, but you will likely need an UI 8 clock and a synchronized Galaxy Watch, possibly the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series.

On the occasion of the Galaxy S25 series launch, Samsung briefly mentioned the upcoming “Antioxidant Index” feature for the Samsung Health App, which is about to reach 2 H2025. This feature will measure beta -carotene in your body and use this information to provide personal nutrition advice so that you are eating properly. Beyond that, the company did not explain further details. However, through an UI 8 Watch leak, we knew how the feature could work. Thanks to a new update to the Samsung Health app, we can support how users can measure their beta carotene levels for the antioxidant index, and show the guidance pages inside the app.

Samsung Health V6.30.0.109 also includes more details about how the antioxidant index feature will work through a galaxy watch, which is in line with our previous results.

As you can see, once you connect your synchronized Galaxy Watch to your phone, you can use it to measure your beta carotene level. However, to do so, you have to remove the clock from your wrist and hold it so that your thumb can press the sensors on the back of the clock. Since the display will be far from you, you can check the measurement progress on your phone.

It is not yet clear whether you need any of the watches of the coming Galaxy Watch 8 series to work for this feature. Or if the Galaxy Watch 7 series or even older watches have the desired hardware to measure your beta carotene level. In infographics, the first watch galaxy Watch 7 series render is visible, but the second graphic uses the Galaxy Watch 8 rider for measurement.

Samsung Health also has a lot of good information about the Antioxidant Index that is interested in learning more about users:
