    • Microsoft recently demonstrated the demo for a feature called “Cross Device Resume”.
    • This feature allows you to leave in an app when you want to switch from your phone to your PC.
    • Spatifs and WhatsApp appear to support this feature.

As you can know, Apple has a simple app continuous feature called “hand -off”. This allows you to start a work on a device and if you switch to a different device, continue where you leave. Microsoft is working on a similar feature for Windows 11 and Android devices, which he recently showed in the demo.

According to Windows CentralThis feature is called the “Cross Device Resume” and a demo for this was published in a blood 2025 session to “create a seamless cross device experience with Windows for its app.” However, the session has been amended then to remove the demo from the video. Fortunately, X (formerly Twitter) user’s Phantomofarth took a screenshot of this feature before changing the video.

Before deleting it, the demo showed that a user has taken advantage of the cross -device resume to continue using spataf on the PC. If your Android phone is open, the app will also be seen in the task bar of your computer. A phone’s icon will sit on top of the app to indicate that it is currently being used on your phone. By shaving on this icon, you will see the option to continue “where you go”, then there is an arrow. If you choose to switch to Windows, you will be taken to the app to the same place you were on your phone.

This permanent experience also works for the media. If you are listening to a song on Spatifs and you use a cross device resume, the music will be lifted when you use this feature.

Apart from Spatif, the WhatsApp seems to support the resume of the cross device. It is unclear whether there are any other apps that currently support this experience, but Microsoft is leaving the door open to add to its apps for third -party developers.
