Google says the beam can help translate speech in real time and will be available in the market starting with HP devices later this year.

Google described its new beam platform in a blog post in detail. It uses a row of different webcams to get the user from different angles. Subsequently, AI is used to integrate video streams together and present a 3D light field display. Google says it also has a head tracking capabilities that claim it is accurate at millimeters and 60 frames per second (FPS).
Google Beam takes advantage of the AI ​​Volometric Video model to transform standard 2D video streams into realistic experiences that appear in 3D from any point of view. It, along with the light field display, creates a sense of dimension and depth, which enables you to contact the eyes and read the subtle indicators.
According to the company, its new platform replaces the project star line, which was initially announced in Google I/O in 2021, which aims to provide users with a new video communication platform that was capable of showing them in a natural scale 3D, as well as eye contact and locally accurate audio capabilities. Although this project is not fully fulfilled, it was re -developed to create a new 3D video communication platform, now known as Google Beam.
