- First -generation nest owners report recent device failures, which are frozen during the boot process.
- Efforts to reset the factory have not been able to restore hardware.
- It is possible that updating the recent firmware may play a role, but Google has not yet confirmed anything.
How long do you expect your devices? With something like a phone, you are primarily at risk of physical damage to it at all times, needing to worry about the battery to go to you all the explosives, and better ensure that your manufacturer keeps the hackers in the bay. But for Smart Home Tech, which is plugged, does not give up your home safety, and you do not have limited access to accounts, is it really wrong that users expect their devices to keep working on a large scale? A growing number of nesting hub users is still in panic about it, as it seems that a wave of failures is hitting a smart display, and it seems that Google is not working much about it.
The nest debuted as a Google Home Hub in 2018, and has been reasonably supported over the years, when it moved to Fuchia and continues to serve as a cheap solution to control your smart home. But last week or so, we are watching news of the first -generation nest hub models stuck on the boot screen, and failing to operate. Hub owner Angela Hopkins is running a thread in the Google Nest community, and Reddit users like Gabi_Social are reporting the same issues on the site’s Google Home all.
The affected units are seen hanging on Google “G” when booting, and efforts to reset the factory efforts seem fruitless. In this reddate account, the owner contacted Google Support for help, just to turn away because his nest hub warranty ended four years.
There are many different ways that can die old, without long -standing products. If the devices rely on an external server, for example, the company that runs the company can eventually decide the power. And when it is useless, at least this is a conscious decision that affects all consumers equally. Here users of the nest hub are experiencing, however, more firmware updates have been wrong, which, despite being equally ignorant, is a more disappointing way to die for a product.
On the page of Google’s nest firmware, the company shows version 26.20250116.103.2900 as the recent release of the nest, and it seems that the software begins last month.
We have come to Google to find out more about what may be the cause of these problems, and to see if the owners have some way to get their smart display again. We will update you with anything we hear.
