Google is I/O On May 20, but with the annual developer conference announcements, Google is opening the valve to release some news soon. Today, during a virtual event, named the Android Show, the company showed a number of features in Android 16, which began with a fresh design.
Here is everything in Google’s mobile operating system. Some of these features will arrive first on pixel phones this summer – possibly Google’s Pixel 10 series – but mostly will be part of the big annual Android update, which is expected to arrive in June earlier this year.

Android is finding a face with a new design language called Mad 3 H3 Expressive, and this time it is on a person who emphasized it.
The last big design was four years ago when Material 3 debuted. That said, Google says it is not “content 4”, and the content is not a new version of the system. Expression Is “The most researched update” through 46 studies with more than 18,000 participants.
Google claims that the language of spraying in the operating system has been preferred by people of all ages, which are scored on attributes such as sports, energy, creativity and friendship. Significantly, Google claims that “consumers are more likely to turn into products that use M3 expression components and techniques.” This is important when the recent survey shows that 87 % of young people own iPhone who have no plans to switch.

There are fresh dynamic images that will feel more responsive, such as how to swipe the notification from the notification drawers will feel spring with hipper feedback, and reports up and down will respond to this action. When you reject an app in the Request Menu, play with the volume slider, or even when you bring down the shade of quick settings, you can expect subtle animation changes – you will see fading on your home screen.
Fonts and typegraphy are more stressed, and Android 16 has more dynamic color themes, which provide you with more control over the operating system format, even in supported apps. Most of its part are also active – Google allows you to squeeze more settings in quick settings, so you can access the tools such as flashlight or not disturb the mood.
Android 16 also takes an indication of Apple’s direct activity features, and binds notifications released from apps such as Dordash, Uber, or Google Maps on the lock screen so you do not need to continue hoping in the app to check. They will still be on the screen when the phone stands in the bye.
