Threads users have long made fun about strange posts presented by the algorithm since the early days of the app. However, recently, some users are starting to look at another kind of strange post in their suggestions: random people’s posts are looking for “friends”.

Posts often offer selfies for young people whose profiles claim to be 18 years old. Enjat has observed numerous posts that appear in the “Related Threads” feature of the threads that are at the level of content for users to log out for users. It is unclear why these posts are appearing as “related” from other popular posts.

For example, About Spatifs from popular threads, user Chris Mesena was suggested for users login on Threads’ domestic feed. Clicking on the post revealed a “relevant” post by the head of the threads, Adam Moseri. However, under the post, there was another “relevant” post from an account claiming that the 11th -year -old girl in the 11th grade.

For any reason, it seems that many other such posts are being presented in the feature of its “related threads”. For example, the following post was also suggested as a “relevant” post somewhere in the app. Taking a look at this user’s profile shows that they have published the same thing – a picture that is followed by WhatsApp link – more than 30 times in the past five days.

Threads also identified it as a Threads also identified it as a

And that is, the Chief Editor of the Angget, Aaron Sopores, was recently suggested as a “relevant” thread “under my own post during a logout.

Since thread has increased to more than 350 million users, it is not surprising that Spam will be seen in the platform. Meta Executive Mouseri said the company has seen A rise In July 2023, in the “Spam attacks”, there is no longer the service launch. Last year, the company said it was working to gain engagement control.

But although the size of Spam on a platform is not unexpected, the size of the threads is not unexpected, it is strange that the app is suggesting these posts so often. Meta did not answer specific questions about these posts or why they were being presented as “relevant” content, but confirmed that spamie posts should not be presented as the recommended content in the app.

In particular, it seems that other parts of the meta apps also appear as spime posts as recommendations. A reddott user recently saw a strange post that appeared on Instagram as a recommendation. The post included a woman’s selfie whose words “I don’t need a BF 🎀 age.” A quick look at this user’s profile shows that he posted dozens of times with the same caption last week. Reddater, “Literally every time the recommended threads window appears, I have to scroll to 2-4 posts before I see something normal.” . “I don’t ‘interest’ and report everyone I see, but they still continue to appear.”

It seems that this post is related to any ongoing spam campaign. The same selfie and text that flagged through the Reddater was shared by at least another threads account. And the search on the threads shows that many other accounts almost permanently share posts that “does not matter to age” or “don’t mind age”.
