Google offers various various compensation for becoming a member, including the company’s access to VPN. If you usually use this VPN, be prepared for some changes to get on your way.
As you may be aware, VPNs offered by Google -owned MVNO are called “Google FIVPN”. At the same time, a built -in VPN experience has been presented in Pixel 7 and UP called “VPN by Google”. According to 9TO5GOGLEGoogle is calling its VPN “Google” by VPN to make the FI branding more permanent. When the name is changing, it seems that the service itself is living the same, mostly Android or iOS has no technical or practical change for users.
For FI users who are pixel 7 or more new, now you’ll use easily VPN in Bullet. It is better connected with the built -in VPN system, making it a more smooth experience. Meanwhile, other handset will continue with the service they are already in use.
One of the changes that is coming is how you access VPN control. Currently, you can go on privacy and security in the FIP to toggle the feature. However, these controls will soon be transferred to the settings app. A message written on the Privacy and Security Page:
VPN controls are moving forward: Since the beginning of May 22, VPN has been moving towards control settings. To ensure that your online activity is safe, turn on VPN via Google.
If you tap the “Update VPN Now” button in the message, the controls will be moved to the settings. At the toggle, you will now see a shortcut that will take you where you can manage the feature.
