At the launch, users assign this feature to 4GB virtual memory to their devices, but later Samsung made the limit to the limit in the release of a subsequent UI. Now it appears that the company is preparing to extend the RAM Plus range once again, with the update of an UI 8 in the future, allowing users to assign more than 8GB of virtual memory.

Since we have not yet seen a UI 8 built with 16GB of physical ram for Galaxy devices, there is no way to confirm whether there is such an option. However, based on this How does the RAM Plus feature workWe can confidently say that this new 12GB limit will not be available on devices that pack 8 GB or less physical ram.

We expect the Ram Plus to find out more about the growing range when Samsung formally releases an UI 8 beta blood.
