The ticket has been fined $ 530 million ($ 600 million) in Ireland by the country’s Data Protection Commission (DPC). This is due to transmitting personal data of tricktok users to China in the European Economic Region (EEA).
The decision has shown that Techtok violated the EU’s GDPR rules regarding the transfer of the EEA user to China, and that it did not maintain its transparency requirements.

Along with the penalties, the ticket also needs to comply with the GDPR processing within six months. Otherwise, its data will be transmitted to China.
DPC Deputy Commissioner Graham Doll commented on the matter:
The GDPR requires that a high level protection provided within the European Union is underway, where personal data is transmitted to other countries. Tactic’s personal data violated GDPR due to transfer to China because Trickok confirmed, guaranteed and showed that the personal data of EEA users, which was accessed by staff in China, had a guarantee of protection within the European Union. As a result of the failure to make the ticket essential diagnosis, Taktok did not focus on potential access to the EEA’s personal data under Chinese counter -terrorism, counter -response and other laws, which indicated that the EU’s standards were diverted through Tukk.
Techtok initially said he did not save the EEA user data on servers located in China, but last month he informed the DPC about the issue he discovered in February where “EEA’s limited user data” was really saved on servers in China. Thus, the preliminary information proved to be false. Ticketkok, at the same time, has informed the DPC that the data has been deleted.
