Recently, NFL is raising its legs and spreading out of Broadcast TV like Amazon and Netflix to partners. It seems that the league is not enough, as it is looking for another digital platform to continue its games. Now a new report states that the NFL is looking at YouTube as a potential partner.
According to AthleticYouTube “is a heavy favorite to stream its first special NFL game on Friday of the early week.” It will be a bit different from the contracts with Amazon and Netflix, as these platforms require subscription and YouTube is free. As a result, this special game will be available to watch globally free. If you have YouTube TV, it seems that you will be able to see this game on this service.
This is a big deal for more than just the fact that this will be the first time you run a special NFL game.
