Microsoft unveiled two new hikes today (May 6) in its surface PC lineup today (May 6), which is primarily supportive of the same level and level laptops we met last year. But these latest versions reach slightly smaller sizes – and slightly cheap price.
After the key details of the new Microsoft Surface Pro and level laptop leaks yesterday (May 5), we expected to see that we expect, and it looks like those reports were basically correct.
These new surface PCs are slightly smaller, light and less powerful than previous year models, but their charge is also promoted to stay a little longer on their charge thanks to the species. They are also worth lower upgrades than last year’s models and their screens are slow. But they come in two new colors: violet and Ocean (a yellow silver blue).
But perhaps most importantly, they are $ 100 cheap each than the initial price of last year’s models.
Both these new level machines will be available to buy May 20. Microsoft says the level for Windows 11 Pro and other business -focused business models will reach the selected markets on July 22. Let’s dig into the spears to see what changes!
Microsoft Surface Pro (12 inches)
When Microsoft Surface Pro 11 launched in 2024, I thought it was easily the best Windows tablet that the company had done over the years, thanks to its Snapdragon chip set and a two cartoon of a great battery life driven by a beautiful OLED display option.
Now, almost a year later, Microsoft is developing a slightly smaller, light and less powerful model, starting $ 100 cheaper than the 99999 11th General Surface Pro last year.

Microsoft is calling this new level supporter just a level pro (12 inches), but since it is a 12 -inch version of the current level Pro 11, we will refer it as a Surface Pro 11 (12 inches) from here.
I have charted the key species of this new level Pro 11 against his major predecessor so that you can see that there are only some remarkable changes.
The first and most important thing is that at 12 inch level, the 8 -core Snapdragon X Plus is characterized by the CPU, which is slightly weaker than the 10 -core model, which has come to a standard on the last year’s model. It also has a slightly smaller, low resolution LCD display with a lower refresh rate than the previous year’s model (90 HHz vs. 120Hz).
But this new, affordable level Pro 11 (12 inches) is also smaller and nearly half pounds than previous year models, and it comes in two new color schemes: Ocean and Violet (picture above). Of course, it also has a newly designed separate keyboard that you can buy for an additional fee that is also available in the Ocean and Violet colors to meet the new hardware.
The new Surface Pro 11 (12 inches) will be available at the initial price of 99 899 at the end of this month (May 20).
Microsoft level laptop (13 inches)
Microsoft’s superficial laptops have been solid work horses for years, and when I want the company to do more to make this Windows 11 laptop more interesting and useful, I understand why many people use them as productive devices.
Now, Microsoft is developing a new model of laptop 7, which is just a smaller and cheap than last year’s model.
This causes things to face slightly confused, as the original surface laptop came in two sizes of 7 screen: 13.8 and 15 inches. For the sake of simplicity, we referred them as a 13 -inch and 15 -inch model, but now that the new, small 2025 level laptop 7 is an LCD screen which is actually 13 inches (a matter of worst), we have to be a bit more specific.

As you can see from the aforementioned chart, the new 2025 level laptop 7 (13 inches) starts at least expensive laptop 7 (13.8 inches) to $ 100 cheap. The new model is slightly weakened by the 8 -core Snapdragon X Plus CPU.
The new surface laptop 7 (13 inches) comes with a touch screen that is not just smaller than it, it is even slow-120 hits available on the last year’s models, instead of 60 hits instead of touch screens. This is still fine for daily use, but that means you will not enjoy a little smooth scrolling that you get on the screen with more refresh rate.
But on the plus side, the new level laptop 7 is smaller and light than the previous year’s model, as well as cheap, and has a little better to boot battery life. Like the surface pro 11 (12 inches), the surface laptop 7 (13 inches) also comes in new sea and violet colors.
Down line
The Microsoft -level PCs are rarely interesting, for better or worse, and the new models we have received this week are not exempt from it.
Although I am not surprised that Microsoft has announced these small, cheap levels of equipment while the ongoing US tariff drama is displaying devastation with electronics prices, it seems that the company’s plans for the company’s surface lineup should be more than these two new PCs in 2025.
Probably the same reason for the company in two weeks, now announced them Ago Microsoft made a 2025 event at its Redmund Headquarters.
We have been reading reports and rumors for months that Microsoft’s 2025 surface lineup includes at least one amazing new model, and if it is true, it will have a place to unveil. So if the company wants to focus only on new, interesting hardware during its major conference, it seems understandable to launch a few weeks before the PC.
