NASA’s astronaut Ann McK Klein and Nicole Aires completed the fifth All Women Space Walk, which moved the antenna and partially prepared the International Space Station for a new set of solar ranks on May 1st. Their 5 hours, 44 minutes of extraordinary activity was completed after re -entering the Quest Airric, and began to press again. Mac Clean and Irris completed the majority of their goals. However, they had to postpone some work until later the space walk because they were behind the schedule and had limited goods.
About the mission
According to NasaExpedition 73 staff Ann Mac Klein and Nicole Aires began to work with tools and supplies of the backbone trace of the Space Station at 9:05 am at 9:05 am. They began collecting a hardware connected to the International Space Station Rollout Solar Area, or the Seventh Pair of Aerosa. They will be installed later this year after arriving at the Space X -Dragon Commercial Response Services Mission.
Installing smaller, more efficient solar ranks will increase the power generation by 30 %, which will increase the total power of the station from 160 to 215 kW. Space walkers constructed and installed the right stitches and upper triangles of the mast canister editing kit before being asked to clean their work stations and go to the next, more important assignment.
To continue to inherit the female space walkers
It was the first of Iris’s first Space Walk and Mac Klein. Mac Klein spent 18 hours and 52 minutes away from the space station. The rotating astronaut staff has made ISS permanently staffed since November 2000. It was the 93rd EVA of the US Quest Airlak and a total of 275 EVAs to assist ISS installation, maintenance and upgrading.
In October 2019, NASA astronaut Christina coach and Jessica Mir held the first All -Family Eva. In January 2020, the couple showed two more space walks together. In November 2023, NASA’s Jasmine Mogbili and Laurel O’Ara completed the walk alone.
