Spatifs Has updated your iPhone app in the United StatesAllow users to sign up for their paid projects using links that take them out of the app. This change comes after one US court ruled against Apple’s App Store Payment Rules. Spatifs users LT IT, it means they can now pay the spots directly, avoiding Apple’s system fully. With the latest app, Spatifs can show their various purchase projects and special offers inside the app. When an American user clicks on one of them, they will be taken to the Spatif website to enter their payment details. This process leaves Apple’s app purchase system, which usually cuts in money (often up to 30 %).
The judicial order behind this change also prevents Apple from charging these external payments (suggested at 27 % before). In addition, Apple is not allowed to display warning messages that they are trying to discourage users from clicking on these links to pay out the app. Apple had to approve the spot update of these changes due to a court decision.

The court case behind it
It was not a specific case related to a spatheph, but the result was Epic Games (Fortynite makers) and a long -running legal battle between Apple. On April 30, 2025, a judge found that Apple was violating the earlier order, which aims to prevent the company from guiding developers to other payment options to consumers. The court, in particular, ordered Apple to allow these external links to allow them without charging the commission on them and using frightened tactics on users who click on them. The decision also mentions that an Apple executive gave false information during the proceedings. Apple has said it intends to appeal the latest court decision.
More challenges for Apple
This decision is another example of Apple’s growing pressure on its App Store control. In Europe, new rules by the Digital Markets Act (DMA) have already forced Apple to change, such as allowing other app stores and payment methods on iPhones, though regulators are still looking closely that Apple’s principles are following. In its home country, Apple is also dealing with a major dissenting case filed by the US Department of Justice in March 2024, claiming that Apple uses its power unfairly to harm the competition.
For iPhone users who streams music, this ability to subscribe directly to Spatif site can simplify signup or offer access to the previous visible deals. This is a step towards giving developers more freedom how they handle payments and contact their customers on Apple devices.
As users, I have the opinion that the more we have the choice, the environmental system works better. Apple may not agree with it, but I think it’s refreshing that we can now choose to go with low -cost billing options. Subscribing directly from the App Store offers wall garden facility, but the user does not always want.
