CMF’s sub-brand of anything else has seen steady expansion into earbuds, smartphones and smartwatches. The Watch 3 Pro is the latest wrist wearable from the brand as it succeeds the Watch Pro 2 from last year with some significant upgrades. You get over 120 minimal watch faces and the usual health and fitness tracking, for nothing under €100//€100. This reviewer spent more than two weeks with the CMF Watch 3 Pro, strapped to his wrist 24/7, putting it through work and play. Read on for our full assessment.

    Table of Contents:

    Design

You’d be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the Watch 3 Pro and its predecessor as both feature the same basic design with a metal body and silicone watch strap. The new model does not get a removable watch bezel, which was a key design focus on last year’s model. We’re not exactly sure why nothing has abandoned the interchangeable bezel concept after just one generation, but it is what it is.

The screen size hasn’t increased at all on the Watch 3 Pro, and now measures 1.43 inches compared to 1.32″ on the Watch Pro 2. It’s still an AMOLED, so you also get Always On Display (AOD) functionality, which is always a welcome feature. Screen brightness is fine at 670 nits, though not quite as good as the HUWE GRIT.

It’s still a 47mm watch, so it’s definitely on the large side. It’s also 14.4mm thick, which is more than many competitors.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

Our review unit comes in a fresh light green color, which brings a metallic finish to the top of the bezel. The mid-frame and rotating crown buttons get a dark gray shade, while the bottom side, where we have the sensors, is made of plastic. We’ve never liked the clean design language of anything, and the Watch 3 Pro is definitely a good-looking smartwatch, and it feels great on the wrist, too.

The included silicone watch strap is interchangeable so you can swap it for any other 22mm style. The Watch 3 Pro weighs 52 grams, which is a little on the heavy side, but nothing too heavy.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

The retail package is pretty slim and only includes the watch, watch strap and proprietary two-pin magnetic charging cable.

    Software and features

The Watch 3 Pro boots a custom real-time operating system (RTOS), which looks almost identical to last year’s Watch Pro 2. It features a minimalist nothing-dot-matrix style and covers the basic functionality you’d expect from a wearable wrist. Before we dive in, we should mention that there’s no third-party apps or NFC support for contactless payments, and no cellular connectivity option.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

You navigate the UI by swiping for the most part, but you can also use the crown button to quickly launch apps and sports to track activity. The crown button gives a nice vibration feedback and also supports a programmable double-press action.

The latter is limited to 13 actions, which isn’t bad, but there are some glaring mistakes. For example, you can’t assign a double-press gesture to the timer, which is something the reviewer used frequently on his Huawei Watch Fit 3.

While nothing beats bringing in a second physical button, it does bring two optional gesture controls. You can assign wrist gestures or arm shakes to launch any app on the watch, manage incoming calls or control music playback.

Elsewhere, the Watch 3 Pro is equipped with the standard set of features you’d expect from a midrange smartwatch in 2025. Thanks to the OLED screen, you get always-on display (AOD) functionality and more than 120 clock options.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

We don’t have to give credit to anything because the watch face selection looks and feels better than the usual bland mix you see from most makers. From clean minimal faces to more modern and feature-rich ones, we can safely say that there are plenty of options for any style and best of all, they’re all free (note Huawei!). Most watch faces support dedicated AOD mode, which still shows you the key complications.

You can only store 7 watch faces on the watch at a time, which is less than what most competitors give you, but still a good choice. Nothing else has three custom watch face tools, along with an album dial, a video dial, and a studio dial. The album dial shuffles selected photos from your phone’s gallery.

Video Dial lets you select a 5-second clip of any video from your phone’s gallery, which is then synced with the watch and played whenever you check the time. This is an original idea that is actually fun to use and a great party trick.

StudioDial leverages AI to create watch faces in place on your phone, which can then be transferred to the watch—a cool concept, though there’s more trickiness to it.

The onboard speakers and microphone allow you to make voice calls on the wrist but nothing goes further. Essential News is a unique feature that uses the watch’s built-in speaker to read news based on your interests.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

You choose the topics that interest you in the NothingX app, and then the top stories are synced from your phone to the watch. Nothing CFO Tim Holbrough’s voice reads your daily headlines aloud. It’s a neat feature, and we enjoyed our time using it…

You can also access our phone’s digital assistant through the watch and even access ChatGPT. Nothing also implements a native voice note recorder, which is handy if you want to transcribe any thoughts when you’re out of reach of your phone. You also get notifications with the ability to send preset replies to texts directly from the watch.

Connectivity during our time with the Watch 3 Pro was excellent as it managed to maintain a stable connection to this reviewer’s iPhone 17 Pro and provided instant notifications.

    Health and activity tracking

    Health monitoring

The Watch 3 Pro brings an optical heart rate sensor, which tracks blood oxygen saturation alongside the usual mix of health-tracking metrics for sleep and stress. These are the same options we saw on last year’s model, which covered the same health insights. As such, we can’t vouch for their accuracy but we found comparable results to the Huawei Watch Fit 3 for heart rate and spo and stress measurements.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

You can toggle the heart rate monitoring frequency with options of every 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes with alerts for low and high resting heart rates as well. The watch can also push alerts if your blood oxygen level drops below a certain percentage.

In terms of sleep tracking, you get the usual monitoring measurements along with sleep phase disturbance, total sleep duration, and sleep quality scores. The CMF Watch 3 Pro showed the same go-to-sleep times as the Huawei Watch Fit 3, but when it came to wake-up times, it consistently delivered far more accurate readings by showing the actual time I woke up, rather than when I got out of bed, like the Watch Fit 3.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

You can view key sleep metrics directly on the watch, while the NothingX app provides even more detail and the ability to reference a long stream of data points to track your progress.

    Activity tracking

In terms of activity tracking, the Watch 3 Pro brings an expanded roster of 131 sports modes as well as a 6-axis accelerometer compared to the outgoing Watch Pro 2. You also get dual-band GNSS positioning.

Our biggest gripe with the Watch Pro 2 was its annoying GPS performance, which would take ages to lock on to, but we can confirm that nothing fixed that issue with the Watch 3 Pro’s GPS receiver, as it locks onto a position in a matter of seconds. GPS accuracy is on point so you can safely leave your phone at home when you go for a run.

Speaking of running, the Watch 3 Pro offers the usual running metrics you’ll find in most fitness trackers, along with some more advanced ones like VO2 max, training load, and recovery. You can also sync your workout data with Strava, Apple Health and Google Fit. A warm-up and stretching guide with 3D animations is another nice touch.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

is a dedicated running coach that leverages AI to create a personalized workout plan to help you improve your running performance. This feature also adapts your performance and adjusts training sessions according to your progress.

While we’re confident with the CMF Watch 3 Pro’s activity tracking and casual gym sessions, we can’t help but feel disappointed that it lacks tracking for swimming and other water sports.

    Battery life

There are no claims that you can expect up to 13 days with moderate use and 10 days with heavy use from the Watch 3 Pro’s 350mAh battery.

In our testing, we got 7 days, AOD off, a steady stream of 100+ daily notifications, 24/7 health tracking, and 3 workout sessions. While not at the level of Huawei’s recent crop, the CMF Watch 3 Pro offers respectable battery endurance.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

A full 0-100% charge takes 90 minutes with the in-box dual-pin magnetic charger. A quick top-up of 10 minutes leaves you at the 20% mark, while 30 minutes takes you to 50%.

    Verdict

The CMF Watch 3 Pro builds on its predecessor with a larger AMOLED display, dual-band GPS, and a better software experience, while keeping its price comfortably under the $100/€100 mark. Basic features like notifications, calls, and access to the voice assistant work reliably in both Android and iOS, which is always a given at this price point.

Check out the CMF3 Pro review

The minimal-nothing style remains a strong selling point, and despite the watch’s massive footprint, it proved comfortable for all-day wear. An expanded watch face selection, smart customization tools, and extras like essential news and voice notes add personality without detracting from the brand’s clean UI approach.

Health and activity tracking is reliable for everyday use, offering consistent results with measurements of heart rate, spo, sleep, and stress. The upgraded GPS performance is a huge improvement, and the AI-powered running coach adds real value to runners. Still, the lack of swim tracking is a notable miss, which even budget smartwatches offer these days.

Battery endurance isn’t record-breaking, but it remains respectable over a week of mixed use. Charging is fast enough, and the proprietary pick-up is gone, though the addition of wireless charging would have been great.

    CMF Watch 3 Pro

Overall, the CMF Watch 3 Pro delivers a polished smartwatch experience with a standout design, reliable tracking, and thoughtful software features. It might not be the Swiss Army Knife of smartwatches, but considering the price point, it gets our nod of approval.
