The IQOO 15 went official this week, and it’s rocking a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC and a hefty 7,000mAh battery. The 6.85-inch 144Hz gaming phone has been out in China for the first time, and it shattered sales records, selling out in just 30 minutes what its predecessor did on its first day.

Realm brought us the GT8 Pro and GT8. Both have camera systems developed by imaging great, Ricoh, but the Pro has better cameras and a replaceable camera island bezel design. The GT8 Pro has Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while its sibling has last year’s generation Snapdragon. Both the phones are on sale in China, and we’re eagerly awaiting the global launch.

The IQOO 15 offers a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP periscope telephoto unit.

Realm’s latest flagship also sports an ultra-bright AMOLED display and a 7,000mAh battery split between two C/C cells.

Samsung unveiled its first Android XR device – the Galaxy XR headset. It has a micro OLED display with a resolution of 3,552 x 3,840px for a total of 27 megapixels (which is close to 8K resolution). Supported refresh rates are 72Hz default, 60Hz option, and 90Hz option. The virtual display covers 109° horizontally and 100° vertically. Two on-board cameras can be used for video pass-through (allowing you to see the outside world for an XR experience). The camera can also capture 3D photos and videos. They have an 18mm f/2.0 wide-angle lens and a 6.5MP sensor. Additionally, there are six world-facing cameras for what’s known as inside-out tracking—position tracking without the need for external hardware, just you and your headset.

The Galaxy XR weighs 545 grams with the forehead cushion, and a separate battery weighing 302 grams. Weight does not include light shield or optional cushion size adjusters. Samsung Galaxy XR is powered by Snapdragon XR 2+ Gen 2. It has a 20% faster CPU and 15% faster GPU than the regular XR2 Gen 2 and supports 12ms full-color video passthrough. The chipset is paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The Galaxy XR can run any Android app, but developers can use platforms like OpenXR, WebXR, and Unity to build apps for it. There’s a built-in theater-like experience, and you can watch multiple things at once.

Samsung is now selling the Galaxy XR 8 in the US and Korea for $1,800.

The next-gen Galaxy S26 units will all use the Exynos 2600 SoC, which is rumored to be an improvement over the current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Still, some Galaxy S26 units will also use Samsung-made Snapdragon chipsets.
