coming The galaxy S26 The Pro, on the other hand, expands its display diagonally to 6.3 inches and swaps out the camera cutout for a bullet-shaped camera housing, not unlike the Xperia phones of the past few years. We already have some leaked renders of the design, so check them out above.
The bigger screen also brings a larger size, and although we don’t know its exact weight The galaxy S26 Pros, we bet it’ll be heavier than the S23.

The anti-reflective coating of the last two years’ Galaxy Ultra models has gotten a lot of attention (even Apple tried one on the latest iPhone 17 series), so we could see it making its way to the lower Galaxy models, but don’t get your hopes up too high.
We don’t have any information about the color palette yet The galaxy S26 Pros, in addition to the deep blue color we saw on renders. Galaxy S23on the other hand, comes in a plethora of colors, including: phantom black, cream, green, lavender, graphite and lime.
Point out the differences
Speaking of brightness, the S23 is listed at “only” 1750 nits of peak brightness, and in our display test the phone managed around 1000 nits at 100 APL, which is still a pretty impressive result. This resolution is expected to remain unchanged on the new model, and with the S23’s display being smaller, the 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution results in a slightly higher pixel density of 425 ppi (compared to the last model and possibly as a result of S26 Pro).

Biometrics are expected to remain the same – we expect it S26 To sport the same ultrasonic fingerprint scanner found on the previous couple of generations. The tech has been working pretty well since Samsung introduced it, so there’s no need to change there.
Performance and software
The cream of the crop
This silicon is a mouthpiece, but Qualcomm has decided to keep the Elite moniker from last year and continue with the “General” name at the same time. It’s expected to be a powerhouse of a chip, with early benchmarks showing around 3800 points in Geekbench single-core, while multi-core performance is even more impressive at 12400 points.
now, Galaxy S23 It’s not lacking, but it has a fairly old chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Synthetic benchmarks put it at around 1600 points in the Geekbench single-core test and 5000 points in the multi-core benchmark. It’s more than twice as slow, at least on paper. Stay tuned for tests once we get our hands on the new one The galaxy S26 Prof

Speaking of the future, the S23 is slowly winding down at the end of its support cycle, the phone is running Android 13 out of the box, and with four major updates, it will get Android 17 next year. This can become a big factor when considering changing to a new one The galaxy S26 Pro, as it will be supported until 2033, which sounds like a year straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Camera
First upgrade in years
After years and years of using the same camera hardware on entry-level Galaxy S devices, Samsung is ready for a change. The galaxy S26 According to the latest rumours, the Pro will feature an all-new ultra-wide camera. That would be a big step up from the 12MP used in the last two generations, but the only megapixel count we have at the moment is 50MP.
The other two cameras probably. Let’s carry over from the previous generation (again), and we’re talking about a 50MP main camera with an aperture of F/1.8 compared to a 1/1.56″ sensor. Expected on a phone. S26 Pro (despite some rumors suggesting Samsung is considering removing it).

Galaxy S23 Scored 137 (out of 158) in our comprehensive camera benchmark, so there’s huge room for improvement. We expect The galaxy S26 Pros to outscore its considerably older sibling, but stay tuned for camera benchmarks and some side samples once we get them. S26 Pro in our lab.
Battery life and charging
400 mAh may not be enough
A slight battery upgrade is coming The galaxy S26 Pro compared to previous generations. It’s not radical, just 400 mAh on top of a 3,900 mAh battery Galaxy S23 is on board, and is 300 mAh more than the previous two models.
That may or may not translate to battery life, but we hope it does, because the S23 managed just over 6 hours in our battery test, and that’s out of 100 phones we’ve tested over the past 2 years.

Charging is expected to remain unchanged for another year, at least based on the information we have at this time. It’s disappointing when we get 100W phones that charge for half an hour but it is what it is. The galaxy S26 The Pro will most likely charge from zero to full in an hour or so. For comparison, Galaxy S23 Supports 25W of wired charging power and charges its battery from zero to full in 1 hour and 8 minutes.
The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to jump on the Qi2 train, offering magnets on its back to help with wireless charging alignment, and we expect a slew of Magsaf-like accessories to debut once the new phone is official.

Summary
There are also some neat hardware upgrades. The only big question that remains unanswered is its price tag The galaxy S26 We suspect the Pro will also carry a $1000 price tag with that “Pro” part of the name, but we hope we’re wrong.
We’ll update this comparison with all tests and a final verdict once we’ve finished reviewing it The galaxy S26 Prof
