Sony Bravia Projector 7: One minute Review
Sony Bravia Projector 7 (VPL-XW5100es) is included in the Sony’s Projector Line-up after the Bravia Projector 9 and Bravia Projector 8. It is the cheapest of the three, but still comes in $ 9,999 / £ 6,999 / aU $ 13,999. This is a huge leap compared to popular consumer projectors, such as 99 2,999 Herson C2 Ultra. But the Bravia Projector 7 is a special hardware designed for Dye Hard Cinema fans, made with a strong home theater projects, and in this context, its cost is sufficient.
Like the other high-end examples of the best projector, Bravia Projector 7 is something easy-is Only one projector. There is no Google TV or other streaming platform created here, nor are there any sound system or even audio output ports. The ports that Bravia Projector 7 have is a sumting of the ports used for the 4K 120Hz-capable HDMI 2.1 input plus custom installation.
Although it is just a projector, it is really a great one. It has elastic optics with a wide zoom range as well as vertical and horizontal lens shifts, making it easier to align the projection. The picture you get on your screen is also amazing: bright, colorful, and with a deep dark surface that I can remember from a projector.
Although I would love to see a wider color and cooperation for more HDR formats, it never felt more than minor shortcomings in my time with the Bravyia Projector 7, which never failed to affect. If you are considering a dedicated, high -end home theater, it should be included in your list.

Sony Bravia Projector 7 Review: Design and Features
- Large influence
- No audio abilities or smart TV
- Flexible Optics
The Bravia Projector is a major home theater projector on a scale of 7 Epson LS 12000 and Ben QW 5800. It is not one of the projectors of the compact lifestyle, and it is bigger than the ultra short throw projectors I have tested. The upside down is that the Bravia projector 7 runs quietly, and it can still fit (mass) on the back of the room (mass) on the mantle or shelf, but it is better to grow the roof.
Thankfully, the Bravia projector is flexible about 7 placement. The lens has a 1.6x zoom range, which can be transferred to a minor throw proportion of 1.38 long to 2.21. It also has a vertical and horizontal lens shift, which is vertically 71 % shift and 25 % in any direction. You manually adjust the focus and zoom using the rings around the lens, and do the lens shift with a set of hidden dials under a small panel on the top of the projector.
In addition to these optical adjustments, the Bravia Projector supports 7 digital stone, though for a projector of this capacity, it is able to ensure the appropriate alignment.
On the one hand, the Bravia Projector 7 includes several controls in the case of remote control. There is also a series of ports, though most of them are for professional features, such as networking and special stimulations. Two HDMI 2.1 ports will accept 4k 120Hz input, but these are just for video input. Nor offers the ERC to pass on the audio signal. And there is no other form of audio output, projector streaming sticks or even some home theater does not play well with PC if they lack their standard audio output.
The Bravia Projector 7 includes a major remote control with a complete backlot cape. This includes buttons to access the preset image profiles, as well as sophistication, brightness and vice versa. A huge directional control is also made in the remote and includes a toggle to show the test sample to help the projector line up and focus the image.

Sony Bravia Projector 7 Review: Photo quality
- Bright and fast picture
- Deep black
- Support for 4k 120hz
Inside it, the Bravia projector is built around the 7 laser diode light source and features the local 4K SXRD optical system. Although it is still not at the surface of a triple laser projector for colorful gamot coverage, the picture is still amazing. As much as I would love to see this extra color, the quality otherwise I have never seen.
Black on Bravia Projector 7 is merely unusual. I do not remember any other projector I have seen that when displaying the shadow is so well sinking in the dark. The litter box bars presented by the Brauya Projector 7 were so dimmed that the walls could not be separated, which were bright through the lighting all around the room only during my diagnosis. The Bravia Projector 7 has such a good level that you will really want to invest in some light absorbent materials or dark paint to reduce the effects of a reflection of the reflection on the image.
The projector of the day becomes bright enough to use different use, even in daylight comes through more than one Windows. Cartoon, bright video games, and even web browsing were possible. However, you don’t want to see deep content in this environment. But this is a projector that aims for a special viewing setup, I don’t think some blackout curtains will be a long order.
The projector uses Sony’s XR processor for the 7 projector, and the resulting icon is surprisingly crisp, the optics also looks clear from the edge to the edge. And it includes items in motion. Panning shots were fluid, refraining from turmoil and the judge, but there are also samples such as soap opera effect that try to smooth the movement many systems. The Bravia Projector 7 was also happy to play at 4K 120Hz, with smooth visual and just unconscious ghosting, and its allm feature ensured that no input was equal.
Although HDR support does not go beyond HDR 10, the XR of the Projector 7 provides features to enhance the shape of HDR content, including three selective tone mapping mode. An XR deep black feature also ensures that the calls look deep and the highlights of the shining cartoon. For example, when the land planes arrive near Pandora Avatar: Water WayThe picture looks amazing with the dark black of the magnificent flames.
- Photo quality scores: 4.5/5
Sony Bravia Projector 7 Review: Value
- High -price tags
- Price is still competitive for the category
- Equal to the performance competition
Bravia Projector 7 is expensive, and you are just getting display for the amount that has no speaker (or how to audio out the speaker), and there is no smart platform for streaming. It may be a tough pill to swallow for some people, but Bravia Projector 7 is not for anyone who wants something less than a master home theater setup. And the display you are getting is really unusual.
This is not in the past because of the projector’s and all other elements, it is not in the past because of being a huge investment, you have to benefit the Sony Bravia Projector 7 as much as possible. And there are many projectors that will not look bad with the Bravia projector 7, but will be less expensive.
So when it is difficult to say that the Bravia projector 7 is a huge price, which still cannot reduce its greatness. And the truth is, Bravia Projector 7 is still bargaining with something, such as Epson QL7000, and it is a relatively price and competent of the JVC DLA-NZ700.
Should I buy Sony Bravia Projector 7?

How did I experience Sony Bravia Projector 7
- Tested in home -seeing situations at home, real -world
- Display presented with multiple media and formats
- I have experienced multiple projectors and display in the last half decade
In real world conditions, I experienced Sony Bravia Projector 7 at home. He saw that he had a hard light from several windows, and the lighting in the room. The projector was tested against both the naked, white wall and ace screen sign white screen. It was presented with stamped content, HDR and non -HDR, and PC gameplay.
My testing reviews the projector’s performance, which has been tested by I and Techradar colleagues in connection with the price and its other models.
I have been checking projectors since 2021 and displaying for even longer.
