- Glasses of the first growing reality of the Meta are reportedly starting next month.
- These glasses, named as “Hypernova”, will offer a bare bonus interface with information and basic help for Meta’s AI.
- Glasses are said to be launched at just $ 800 to increase more orders than Apple’s extraordinary price vision pro.
Apple made a jump of faith when it showcases its $ 3,500 headset, Vision Pro for the first time in 2023. Despite slow rollout and wide marketing, the headset failed to start, despite its strange features. Repeatedly, experts have accused it of a tremendous price due to lack of public interest, and it is also a lesson for other companies, including Meta, who are ready to launch their AR glasses soon.
According to BloombergMark Gorman, Meta, is ready to start the reality of its first commercial pair (or AR) glasses very quickly, more attractive than expected before. In the latest Power on Newsletter (Paywall), Gorman revealed that the launch was set for September, while glasses, called “Hypernova”, will be available at $ 800, which is a decrease of 20 % from the previously recommended $ 1,000 price tag. The reason for the cut in prices is likely to reduce its profit margin to increase the demand for meta.
However, Gorman warns that while the potential basic price of $ 800 headset is, changes in any modification or style in the form of prescription lenses can easily increase prices.

Meta’s hypernova will only offer the functionality of smart glass naked bones. It will possibly serve as the original release of Meta Orion, its full AR glasses before the interim product.
As Gorman shared earlier, a monocular display will be presented to a small section of the right lens in Hypernova. This section will show key information, such as notifications from the LinkedIn smartphone or the built -in MetaAIApp indications. This has been done so information does not hinder the field of consumer views and they appear when they look down. Although it is said that hypernova is asked to run a particular version of Android and there are some apps already installed, it will lack regular Android apps or support for an app store.
Glasses will connect with a “nerve” wrist that uses electromygrephy (EMG) to identify the gestures of the hands and other movements. Meta has predicted the same wrist band with a prototype from its Orion AR headset, which will be expected in 2027. Meanwhile, the recently launching pair also said that they offer the touch sensitive areas on the temples for the controls besides the wrist band.
Finally, Meta is allegedly working with telescope vision on a second -generation hypernova, but with a similar interface. It is likely that it will be available at some point in 2027 and will be another important step in the success of the meta, which will have a greater support for apps and anecdotal experience with a pair of glass.
