For the past 2-3 years, the iPhone has two high marketing properties, and Apple has apparently been getting rid of both of them. The worst thing is that I really like these two features of the iPhone, though one of them has been a very controversial change.
Apple is digging titanium

Yes, Apple is digging titanium with iPhone 17. It is not that it was an essential feature for flagship phones, but it was still appreciated. I don’t think I’m alone in saying that titanium iPhone models look amazing, like a premium piece of gear. At least we still have the Galaxy Ultra phones, unless the Samsung Galaxy S26 does not intend to dig titanium for ultra.
I was truly convinced that the titanium was here to stay here, to distinguish the flagship offerings from the rest. And, on a very minor note, titanium looks much colder than aluminum, glass, or stainless steel.
But what really hurts me is remembering how much focus on the titanium end when Apple first announced. Those announcing the iPhone 15 Pro could not stop mentioning how beautiful the new phones look, and I agreed. But now, likewise, we are digging titanium this year.
The reasoning behind this decision is potentially complicated, not just a heart change. Some suggest that the manufacturing costs are responsible, and that makes sense because Apple is trying to make its phone as cheaper as possible, which pose a risk of taxes. Perhaps this is a shortage of titanium that has made it possible to increase the cost of iPhone 17 this year.
But titanium is not a single heavy -filled marketing feature that is getting rid of Apple.
Is it time to say goodbye to the dynamic island on the iPhone?

Who remembers when Apple first announced a dynamic island? It was one of Apple’s more controversial changes, I remember many of the Internet clowns at the moment. However, I thought it was a very clever way to get the problem that was currently in smartphones, and still today.
Look, every phone maker started introducing cartoon holes or signs to his phone. Even the cheapest budget phones made for low -income regions are very low. This was being done to minimize the thickness of Bezel, and because I think it was just something new to do.
Apple, which I have accused of popularizing the first place mark, brought a beautiful clever solution: dynamic island. Immediately, the iPhone was recognizable everywhere, and it was not just another phone with a water drop mark. Even better, the dynamic island actually fulfilled a purpose.
The app integration with the dynamic island is excellent, when it works for the course, and it usually happens. And, while talking personally, I like the pill -shaped cut -out exactly more than the water drop mark, or more than the circular cartoon hole.
But guess, Apple is digging a dynamic island in favor of a cartoon hole design. This will not be up to the iPhone 18, but many reports have said that it Is Is happening Apparently, the cartoon Hole will eliminate the difference between iPhone 18 IPhone 17 It has a dynamic island, and the cut -out 20th birthday is the iPhone Pro.
But… why not just be with the dynamic island? Has Apple forgot how much did the company behind it when the company announced it? There is no need to mention that the iPhone 18 will look like another phone from the front only. Apple is already doing this error with this error IPhone 17 Design again, and I will not make a mistake on confusing some people for Google Pixel 9, especially for iPhone 17 Air.
It’s enough to say, I just don’t understand why Apple will abandon such heavy marketing features outside the blue. It honestly only makes the company feel like it has no direction or sense of itself, and it is throwing random things on a wall just to see.
