Xiaomi, Honor, and other Chinese smartphone manufacturers are competing to offer handsets with large batteries. A recent report indicates that the Honor can work on a new addition to the power series that will pack a 10,000 MAH battery. According to a tipter, Xumi’s sub brand Redmi is also producing a handset that can ship with battery capacity between 8,500mAh and 9,000mah. Thanks to the latest Silicon Carbon technology, these companies can now achieve it without increasing the thickness of these phones.

Redmi is likely to use silicon carbon battery technology for upgraded batteries

According to the tipter digital chat station (translated from Chinese), a Chinese smartphone maker’s sub -brand can work on a handset that will come with a large battery, with a large battery between 8,500mAh to 9,000mah. In the comment section, Webu users have speculated that this tipter is referring to Redmi, a subsidiary of Xumi.

It is said that it is built using a proprietary technology, which can use a silicon carbon composite upgrade version, it is said that the company is trying to fit this high -capacity battery without affecting the battery cycle life, while keeping the thickness under 8.5 mm.

If this claim is true, the rumor handset will pack the largest battery in the company’s current smartphone portfolio. A recent report also suggests that Redmi may launch Radmi Turbo 5 Pro with 8,000 mAh battery packs soon, which is a significant improvement compared to its predecessor, Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, with a battery of 7,550mAh.

One of Zumi’s rivals is allegedly operating on a handset that will come with a large -scale 10,000 mAh battery, a feat that is carried out only by large real estate devices, such as tablets. It is said that the phone is Honor Power 2, which is expected to succeed Honor Power. Launched in April, this phone has an 8,000 mAh battery using the latest silicon carbon technology.

It is worth noting that there are other thin phones that use traditional lithium polymer battery with large battery sizes. Launched on July 16, Honor X70 is a handset that is 7.96 mm in thickness. The X70’s 8,300mAh battery claims to be a screen time for 18 hours, 15.6 hours, navigation time, and up to 27 hours “short video” playback offers, all of which is on the same charge. It also supports 80W wired fast charging.
