Following numerous reports from various sources, next year’s Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge battery capacity and thickness have been confirmed. Unfortunately, the battery will not be an important upgrade that was indicated by rumors earlier, and instead there will be just a slight improvement.

S26 Edge will come with a 4,200mAh battery capacity, which is not really so important you are compared to the 3,900 mAh with the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, it was a pleasure to see that the next edge phone would break the 4,000 mark, especially consider that it is thin at 5.5 mm: 0.3 mm to 0.3 mm less S25 Edge.

In the previous reports, it was claimed that the battery capacity could be up to 4,400 mAh. Now, granted, 4,400 mAh is not surprising, but will have increased 500 mAh compared to his predecessor S26 A worthy upgrade edge.

Apple and Samsung are shifting how they turn to their flagship smartphones. Samsung will continue to reduce its phones, and the Galaxy S26 will reuse 5,000 MAH Li -ion battery in the 26 ultra. In the meantime, Apple has decided to bulk the iPhone 17 Pro for a large battery, and the iPhone 17 Air will be the only model for users who demand a super slim phone.

Both Samsung and Apple are hoping for AI -powered battery management to squeeze extra time on the screen out of their thin offerings. Apple especially needs iOS 26 battery management because the air model is expected to have only 2,900 mAh battery capacity.

For now, it seems that Samsung’s software is operating, as our Galaxy S25 Edge battery test has revealed that the phone is initially longer than expected. Jump in 4,200 mAh battery, though minor, should help S26 Edge provides users even longer. However, in my opinion, it would not be enough to justify upgrading if you’ve already found S25 Edge.

For now, many users say they don’t get these new super slim phones view, while others are very happy with themselves S25 Edge. What I can understand is more side grades than Edge and Air Model upgrades, which are made for users who prefer the form over -function.

But with the improvement of battery, even the biggest negative aspect of these new models can be solved soon.
