One of the most expected upgrades for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a rumor for 60W wired charging speed. However, the recent leakage suggests that it cannot provide such importance as expected.

In a recent post about Webu (through Android Authority), Ice Unice claims that charging the Galaxy S26 for half an hour will increase the battery level between 0 % to 75 % and 80 %. Although it is not bad in any way, it is not a widespread improvement compared to the Galaxy S25 ultra. When we tested the S25 Ultra charging for our review, it reached 71 % using a 45W wired Samsung charger after 30 minutes.

However, as the Ice University has stated, official data are usually quite conservative. He states in a follow -up comment that the “original” data shows that the phone can reach 90 % after thirty minutes. This will be a significant improvement, but there is no clear indication of whether the actual measurement comes from the test at a prototype Galaxy S26 ultra, or are completely ideological.

Samsung has been strictly regarding the Galaxy S26, but many rumors have pointed to possible changes. For example, we have heard that although the overall design may not change too much, Samsung may introduce some camera improvement, including 200 MP zooming camera, which includes the potential return of 5x magnetization and variable aperture.

Although cameras can improve, we have also seen reports that Samsung Qi 2 plans to remove the digitiser layer on the screen to create a magnetic color. If correct, it would mean that, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the phone will not support the Sen. However, Samsung is allegedly working on a new type of pen that can be sold separately and does not need a digitiser to work.

Ice Unionis is a famous source with a Samsung Lake’s proven track record. But it is always wise to take such predictions with salt grain. For now, we have to wait until we can test the phone ourselves.

The date of official release for the Galaxy S26 series has not yet been announced. But while walking with the previous launches, Samsung will likely display the Galaxy S26 ultra in January next year in a Galaxy Inapped event, which will launch nearly two weeks after the phone.
