Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra is now something unusual to prostrate. Apparently, the Smart Watch was selected to be part of its first type of study. This watch was used to monitor the effects of health that experience astronauts during space travel. Listen, Apple Watch Ultra 2? In the study, the Galaxy Watch Ultra was beaten into the wrist of six people. These individuals were isolated in a test facility on the ground for eight days, in an environment that is designed to show the psychological and physical impact of a mission in space.

The study was conducted by the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and the Institute of Aerospace Medicine. The study of isolation, called Solis 8, is the first study of such a study in which smart watches are used to monitor health.

The study team is in partnership with Samsung Germany and IT service providers. They have selected the Galaxy Watch Ultra as an easy tool to use, which is cable -free and is able to record and collect health and important symptoms, without data connection. Representatives of the Institute of Aerospace Medicine say that the use of smart watchs in their study shows that timepiece can be used for significant sign monitoring without intermediate devices (such as a smartphone), and even in challenging conditions. The team also says that new possibilities are opened in safe encryption of smart watches and space exploration. It can be used in remote research stations and even in telemedicine.

The data collected during the test is now being used to inform the “bio -base” developed by the DLR. It is dedicated to monitoring the biobius life support system and the main symptoms of these “habinos”, where astronauts spend more time in space in a controlled, isolated environment.

It has emerged after another study, once again with Samsung’s contribution, which helped to find out if unified smart watches can operate in space. All encrypted data streams and sensor readings were successfully tested.

During this study, the Galaxy Watch Ultra was connected to a local Wi -Fi network. According to IT firm Ediso, all of its data were collected, encrypted and locally processed.

Every partner had to wear the Galaxy Watch Ultra all the time, of course, except when it was charging. The participants were not locked in just one room. They were put in the imitation of real space missions. There were three men and three women in full isolation, with no external contact and no daylight for eight days (I am fortunate to not become astronauts, just saying it).

Participants also had to follow the strict schedule when they had to eat, sleep, exercise, and even bathe.

This isolation studies show that researchers help to find out how space conditions can affect astronauts. According to Sarah Pachoski insects, who were guiding this study, however, data are still limited. The study of Solis 8 with the Galaxy Watch Ultra managed to provide deep data on the effects of the long -term space travel, and also how people work in limited places and strict schedules.

Right now, the study data is being evaluated, so the results of the study have not yet been published. But of course, we can see that this is just the beginning.

The next study, which will be called Solis 100, will start in the future, and this study will continue for 100 days. It will include both important staff and backup staff.

I personally think it’s really interesting. Not just because the galaxy clock is “going into space” (well, like), but because we are being used by smart watches in the ways that used to be like a science fiction some time ago.

The fact is that this small device can track significant symptoms without cables or phones, even in isolation like space, wild. And this is just the beginning, I can’t wait to wait for what comes forward – one day the astronauts will rely on smart watchs the same way we rely on them for fitness tracking or sleep. Space tech is becoming personal, and so is amazing.
