Apple is seen retreating in the so -called AI race, and the company seems ready to solve the problem, no matter what. During its Q3 2025 income call, Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company is not only open to fix its AI problems for integration and acquisition, but is also ready to pay a large price.

Responding to the analyst’s questions, Cook said that Apple has already acquired seven companies this year in deals this year, “which was not too big in the dollar,” CNBC said. However, he added that Apple is ready to spend a lot of money if it will help its AI efforts.

We are very open to the M&A that accelerates our roadmap. We are not stuck at a special size company. (…) We basically ask ourselves whether a company can help us to accelerate the roadmap. If they do, we are interested. But we have nothing to do today.

Historically, Apple does not resort to major acquisitions. So far, the company’s biggest pursuit was Billion 3 billion Beats Dell, which was closed in 2014. Coke’s comments confirms rumors that this is probably changing when Apple presses to improve its AI efforts. In June, too, there was a information that Apple was considering the acquisition of AI Startup Paulatility AI.

Apple has been talking about its major plans for Siri’s AI -powered version for a year, but its time is still uncertain. The increased voice assistant was to be released earlier this year, but Apple again delayed it, gave a date without a new launch.

Meanwhile, Google’s Pixel 9 and the incoming Pixel 10, and the Samsung Galaxy S25 offers a growing set of already active AI properties. Google and Apple are discussing the brings to the iPhone, rubbing salt in the wound.

Despite the struggle with the AI, Apple has continued to grow and has reported a wonderful quarter. The iPhone business increased by 13 % year year, which reached $ 40.22 billion. Perhaps even more important, the services unit also saw a 13 % increase, an increase of $ 27.4 billion, which is recorded by the company.

Financial results show Apple’s biggest strength. That is why I believe that the partnership and acquisition of AI companies is the right step. I just hope that Apple can move forward quite faster and catch its rivals before it’s too late.
