Apple may be willing to pay a big price for AI companies, but it is already spending a lot of spending a lot at Trump’s prices. During the company’s latest income call, Apple CEO Tim Cook said tariff costs could exceed $ 1.1 billion during the September quarter.

In March 2025, during the last revenue call, Cook predicted that Apple would spend 900 million on tariffs in the quarter ended in June. On yesterday’s call, he said the company has spent about $ 800 million during the June quarter and is expected to cost more than $ 1 billion in the current quarter. This will increase the $ 1.9 billion spent on revenue in just six months.

For the September quarter, current global revenue rates, policies, and requests do not change for the quarterly balance and do not add any new revenue, we estimate the impact of increasing our spending by about $ 1.1 billion.

    Tim kickApple’s CEO, July 31, 2025

President Trump’s clean taxes practically affected all Apple’s equipment sold in the United States. Most iPhones sold in the United States are manufactured in India, while Mac, iPad and Apple watches are made in Vietnam. Tim kickThis year, Trump had threatened that every iPhone, not built in the United States, would impose “at least 25 % tax”. The president has long been pressing Apple to move some of his production to the United States.

Tim kick It was cautious to make it clear that predictions could be wrong. “Many factors, including tariff rates, can change,” he emphasized.

Recent rumors have claimed that Apple iPhone is planning to increase the price of 17 models to $ 50. The company’s goal will be to meet the additional costs due to revenue.

Although Samsung has not been mentioned by President Trump, it is also being affected by prices, though it is not as heavy as Apple. Samsung had moved his Galaxy phones out of China long ago.

Apple’s outstanding financial results are proof that the increase in revenue and related prices is unlikely to affect the company. In view of how long the price of the iPhone has not changed, I don’t think the increase in $ 50 will scandalize anyone. Unless the rates are completely out of control, Apple should be fine. The company sells tens of millions of iPhones every quarter, so the slight increase will not only meet the $ 2 billion bill but also turn it into profit. That’s why I wouldn’t worry about Apple.
