- Ink Rensam recently added a dollar tree to his data leak site
- The dollar tree responded by saying that the data is only of 99 cents
- Only 99 cents is only one discount retailer who announced bankruptcy in 2024
Hackers are claiming that the dollar tree has been violated and stolen its sensitive files, but the discount state states that it has never been attacked, and that the data around the dark trap is not related.
A renasmare operation known as Ink Rassem recently added the dollar tree to its data leak page, and claimed that it had stolen 1.2 terabytes sensitive and personal data, unless no ransom was paid. The group provided a model of stolen data, including passport scans, and also cited a dollar tree press release in which it announced only 99 cents.
And there is friction – the dollar tree says the figures actually belong to only 99 cents. This is a very different discount shopping chain.

Only 99 cents data was not obtained
Referring to economic tensions with inflation, pandemic diseases, theft/shrinking and fierce competition, only 99 cents announced bankruptcy in April 2024. It closed its 371 stores until the mid-2024, and the dollar tree gained 170 former lease rights along with some of its North American IP and store.
The dollar tree re -prepared many of these leases and opened it as their stores later this year.
A discount retailer spokesman said he was aware of the claims of data theft, but he emphasized that these were only 99 cents stores that were targeted.
The spokesman said, “The files cited in these claims include only 99 cents employees.” “The involvement of the dollar tree with only 99 cents stores is related to the purchase of real estate lease selection rights after their closure.”
“We did not obtain their corporate company, system/network, or data. Any allegation of dollar tree involvement is wrong.”
Since 99 cents are just closed, its emails and phone numbers are defective, making it impossible to ask for a statement or a comment. On the other hand, the dollar tree is one of the most successful businesses in its industry, selling $ 17.6 billion last year.
