- Google Maps is crashing for some users when trying to get transit instructions.
- Other methods of transportation are not affected.
- Although not everyone on the same version of the app is facing this problem, and we have reached Google for more information.
Modern navigation software is better than paper maps that have far more reasons we can count, and an excellent example of this is how well they can integrate with large -scale transit systems. Instead of driving, biking or walking everywhere, apps like Google Maps make a snap to plan a seizure that includes segments where we are riding a bus or on a train. It’s great when it is working. Now, though, it is not.
Earlier today, the Google Maps of Reddate began to circulate about a problem with transit guidelines, which is summarized in a post by user Xenon Oxide. About a dozen Pixel users are ready to respond with their own notations, and everyone who is getting it has the same problem.
In the affected users, you are able to find locations and prepare most types of navigation instructions, but when you tap the public transit, map crash.
Android police This effect was able to recreate, and confirms what users experienced during a test at the Maps app version 25.30.00.785163646. We also tried to verify our phones, but even after updating the maps in this new release 25.29.00.782600971, we are able to access navigation instructions without causing the accident.
Why is it affecting some consumers and not others, we can’t say yet, but reports in the Redded Thread show that the accidents still appear within the last hour, which seems to have not yet solved the basic problem. In fact, we do not see any problem on the company’s map -status page, so it may not be so widespread that the radar can be included.
We have tried to know both Google whether the company is familiar with these cracks, and to see if there are any steps that the consumers facing can take Take to work again.
