In its latest report, the Trend Force writes, the global foldable market is growing beyond a “measuring pace”. The main obstacles to adoption remain the same – stability, crease and of course concerns about price.
Analysts have predicted that 19.8 million foldables will be sold this year, which will be 1.6 % of the total smartphone market (like previous year).
Samsung is currently in the first position in the global foldable market, though it is expected to have a vapor.
This will reveal only one hair from Huawei, which will reduce the market share slightly by 35.2 % last year, which will be 34.2 % this year. This will lead to more than one percent of the views between the two companies.
Many other makers are running away – their shares are small but growing. For example, Honor and Motorola had 6 % and 5.5 % market share in 2024 and is expected to go up to 9.1 % and 7.6 % this year.
Joint numbers for OPPO and Vivo are predicted that it will occupy 8.5 % of the market. Meanwhile, Xumi this year will be 3 % to 5.1 %.
The trend predicts that the global foldable market will continue to grow its slow but stable growth in the near future. One thing that can really shake things is to enter the Apple market.
This can happen next year, with the orders of the foldable display panels that are already placed with the Samsung display. It is allegedly focused on the use of liquid metal to eliminate Apple’s attention and strengthen the phone. As far as people have the third concern, okay, no one expects the Apple device to be cheaper – at least its first fold.
